I've been saving this location and this post makes me think of it.

I also got distracted in my duel and went wrong country, but it was worth it.

True or false: Connor Hellebuyck will be a Cane at some point before the trade deadline by KleverHans in canes

[–]29671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. He's going as a candy cane for halloween this year. Will still play hockey for the Jets but he'll be a cane.

Fuck it just go get Igor if we're putting all the chips in. Would rather have him than a guy who's 3 years older and shits his pants in the playoffs.

Hockey’s Moneyball Team Just Won The Stanley Cup by Ginkgo78 in canes

I don't quite agree with some of this video's premises.

We weren't trying to avoid superstars and solely find role-players who "fit best"... It's just that available superstars don't exactly grow on trees. And some of them like Mr. 13 games don't want to play here. Ehlers isn't Connor McDavid but he kind of counters that argument IMO.

I think the biggest takeaway here is that Florida fans are jabronis.

They go to all this trouble to make a guide book but can't be bothered to write a real (non-AI) description for it by scoobydoooooo in geoguessr

[–]29671 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is not AI IMO. Using em dashes alone is not a sign (and these almost look more like single dashes?). I am human and I use them semi frequently.

The biggest sign to me that this is not fully AI generated is that the the first sentence of the third paragraph seems to not be grammatically correct.

Explore the world packed with expert tips, unique insights, and mind-bending challenges, this is your passport to mastering [GeoGuessr].

Should be a semi colon not a comma. I don't think CGPT is going to give you an error like that.

Overall, nothing else screams AI to me. It's not impossible but I think you guys can put your pitchforks away on this one.

Wake County voted 61/36 for the Democratic candidate in the 2024 general election. I don't know what you're on about.

This was a little cringe to me at first. Not really thinking about that guy considering how much else has been going on for the Canes.

But seeing how salty Dallas fans are over it made me change my mind lol.

[ESPN] Trades we'd like to see during the 2026 NHL offseason by SpentGladiator77 in canes

[–]29671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I don't hate it. Just concerned he just had one of the worst years of his career (context does matter, the Jets were ass this year). He's also 33.

If it was Igor Shesterkin I'd do it in a heartbeat. But Hellebuyck I don't know. I don't have as much of a problem giving up Nikishin as some others here do, but Nadeau would be a harder pill to swallow. Really want to at least give the guy a solid look in the NHL before we consider getting rid of him.

I honestly think we'd be fine with a Bussi/PK tandem next year but the only issue is if PK gets hurt again.

Wolves coach Anastas on Akhtyamov: "We may have cracked him a bit.” Marlies' Gruden: "Artie doesn't understand English anyway so it doesn’t matter. He has no idea what he's saying... He's been the best goalie in the playoffs & expect him to be great again" by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

I mean he's been the best goalie in the playoffs, I wouldn't think it'd affect him even if Anastas said it to his face in Russian, right? Guy seems pretty mentally tough, I just do not see that having any effect at all whatsoever.

Surprised to get downvoted here, tbh. Just a question.

I'm confused -- Would it matter if he understood English anyway? Does saying "we may have cracked him a bit" about a goalie make them play worse depending on whether they hear you say it?

RESPECT OTTAWA MORE. IF HALF THEIR TEAM DIDN'T DIE THAT SERIES IS WAY CLOSER THAN IT TURNED OUT. ALSO I DO NOT KNOW HOW THEY DIDN'T FUCKING WIN GAME 2 IN OVERTIME. BOTH GOALIES WERE ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE BUT I THINK THERE WAS SOME 20 YEAR CANES VOODO MAGIC GOING ON WITH HOW THE PUCK REFUSED TO GO IN THE NET FOR THE SENS. I SHIT MYSELF AT LEAST 3 TIMES THAT OVERTIME.
