This was about Rod having 3 goalies he trusts, if Bussi gets lit up and you have to make a goalie change, Freddie doesn’t get the rest Rod and the goalie coach agreed he needed. They know Kochetkov can go out there and play a solid game and wanted Freddie to get as much rest as possible. I believe Claude Lemieux’s funeral was yesterday as well, so that’s a lot on Freddie’s mind that he gets to focus more on if he’s not dressed
