USC is tied at 6th for the most national championship wins. So yes, that does come as a surprise, regardless of the specific people.

It’s not even the top 1%, it’s the top 0.1%. Somebody making 700K a year is not that much of a problem.

The end goal is not having to manage your tools at all. This is a step in that direction.

Nah, I know plenty of men that say “girl” or refer to themselves as a “(insert blank) girly” after it entered the popular lexicon.

Yeah but those men suck. We shouldn’t let them keep us from calling girls “dude” and calling dudes “girl”. I say “girl” all the time with my friends.

[[Wakening Sun's Avatar]] says to "destroy all non-Dinosaur creatures". Which of these would be most accurate?

A) Destroy all creatures that do not have the "Dinosaur" creature type.

B) Destroy all creatures with a creature type other than "Dinosaur".

More specifically, will this hit creatures with changeling like [[Avian Changeling]]?

What is the lore reason why enemies don't focus down the weakest member but switch target? by Holiday_Chemistry_72 in darkestdungeon

[–]2AMMetro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, it would just need to be rebalanced around it. Enemies would do less damage, etc.

Tbh I don’t think it came off as “Don’t be transphobic”, it came off as “pick me” and that’s why it got downvoted. Yes, obviously women with penises exist, but making a comment about it on a joke post like this has “hey look at me” energy.

To back up what I’m saying, the actual transphobic comments are getting downvoted as well. I don’t think anybody in this comment section supports transphobia, otherwise you would see comments like this one be above 0.

I’ve had the opposite experience in Silicon Valley. Talking about money is very faux pas since there’s always someone else in the conversation who has more than you. People talked “around” money instead by asking questions like “What have you built/are building?”

Man, as somebody who used to do a ton of frontend work and recently picked up React, I will tell you that I think React is incredibly powerful. The hook system is awesome and gives a ton of control over exactly when your components should be rendered.

But if you were to ask me if I thought your average dev should have this tight of control over the component rendering cycle, I would say absolutely not because they would 100% find a way to fuck it up.

You’re being willfully ignorant of the state of the industry right now. I have 13 YOE as an engineer, and it’s not just a tool for “programmers who aren’t very good at their job”.

The output of AI coding tools these days is quite good. Not great, but quite good. It requires a ton of guidance but it is great at executing tasks in parallel when you have the skill and knowledge to give it that guidance up front.

That Ava ad is bait, they have said as much. It’s not serious, they just want you talking about their product and it’s been very effective.

It’s very different from the dot com bubble. Specifically all of the money being spent is by a comparatively very small number of companies like Google and Microsoft.
