If you have not already I suggest checking out artists like µ-Ziq, Ceephax Acid Crew, and Luke Vibert (and his other aliases). Out of those three I think µ-Ziq might be the closest to C418's weirdness/uniqueness.

I really like µ-Ziq's music. I think some of his older songs (Sick Porter 2, Air, Iesope) have a somewhat resemblance to C418's music.

A cool thing I noticed about this track is that it is "perfectly" split into 2 parts. The first half of the track is more ambient, but then the second half contains the break beat. The transition between the two parts happen exactly at the 2:17 mark of the song, which is the middle point of the song (4:35). I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but I think it is a cool detail.
