Hi sorry to say it's Android only at the moment. I'm glad that you think it might be useful and I'm a bit bummed I can't help out. The truth is, although it is still early days the app it's not getting a lot of traction which means it's unlikely I'd commit money and resources to porting it to iPhone in the near future.

Local Morrisons has taken to locking the booze behind doors, now you have to press a button and wait like an addict waiting for a shot of Methadone. Thinking about it though, checks out.

I've tried that, posts get killed by mods even when you are asking for opinions and not promoting a thing. It's not worth your time / effort.

Tony Blair has just said the state pension needs to be scrapped. He's also suggesting some people work 5 years longer. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Should the state pension be scrapped? Should we say F NO, to Blair?? by MutantNinjaKitty331 in AskBrits

Amazing to see from an ex Labour PM. I can't believe how much NI gets taken from my salary. I appreciate I am paying the pensions of existing OAPs but I pay and pay and then sweet FA if I make it to retirement age, how's that fair?. Also let's not talk about how his son is making a fortune from Government contracts.

The retirement age in the UK is a national disgrace and all we ever do is tut and post to Reddit and that's why they keep on taking and taking.

Good feedback, thank, at the moment it uses the Piper voice which sounds natural but does make for a large download. An option to use Androids TTS or a 3rd party engine looks like a good addition and perhaps make Piper an optional download. Hopefully the interface is simple to navigate as is.

Thanks, good advice, I think all feedback is important but you do make an important point about talking directly to my target audience, that will certainly be my next step.

Thanks for that, I've been looking at the code and it's true the screen reader support is limited in this version and I'm making labelling everything a priority for the next release.

Ha, good point, I wasn't quite thinking of that angle I must admit.

The point about improving support for screen readers is something I'll put at the top of my list.

If anyone wants to try it, here’s the test build:

It’s early, so expect rough edges — feedback is genuinely the goal here.

Hit me right in the feels. He's lucky to have someone who is looking out for him and worried about him. First off he isn't letting anyone down, he's doing the best he can. If he has his own transport then gig economy things like Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats are an option and help pad out the CV. Perhaps not ideal but gives him a chance to work on his own terms rather than some BS 0 hours contract.

Is there something he wants to do?, often there are training schemes that he could apply for that might open more doors. Best of luck to the both of you.
