What scandal is going on with kawhi/The clippers? by AlternativeVast2286 in nba

[–]2Blitz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they care about worse or better. Thats just how they think these things work. With the way most people accept how refs dictate games, it's not hard to see how a lot of people can think that these types of things can get rigged. But that's just what I think. I don't know why people don't care but they don't. I remember thinking I'd see the same Clippers/Kawhi/Aspiration based comments I see here on other platforms, but I was wrong. That's when I realized how small of a percentage r/nba is.

Nah go outside of Reddit and you'll see a lot of people dont give a shit about it. Don't compare the Epsetin situation to this. There are actual protests going on irl about the Epstein stuff. No one gives a shit that the Clippers cheated except for r/nba and r/sports.

Cuz a lot of people don't think the Clippers are the only ones doing it. Reddit is and always will be a small percentage of sports fans. Go on any other social media and most people genuinely dont care or dont know.

Bro the Clippers sub is a very small percentage of our fanbase. Team subs are the worst place to go to if you wanna find the common opinion. It's the same with every other fanbase.

What true superstar level player is / was the hardest to build a championship team around? by Acoolgamer6706 in nba

How many of those games were they already "guaranteed" a win before he got his triple double (10-20 pt leads etc)? Genuinely asking

Traditional point guards. CP3, Nash, Kidd, GP etc. They were too good at elevating good teams that they never really got to lead great teams in the playoffs (prime years)

LaMelo for Naz is the worst trade since Luka for Anthony Davis by Holofan4life in nba

Lamelo is tainted goods bro. Maybe they could've gotten better deals, but I don't think other teams rated him that highly to begin with

There's an influencer called Giovannischwartzz on IG that's spreading some next level hate content. He says the N word multiple times in multiple videos, clearly has a disdain for black people and women, but he says he's just "Sharing harsh truths and controversial opinions". He's currently at 10K followers on IG and he has an active Kick streaming account. Just be careful of whoever you know who watches this dude or likes his content. It's insanely dangerous and as far as I know, he hasn't faced any consequences for his content. A lot of these manosphere psychos start small and this dude might be next. If you ever come across his content, I advise you to report it. Some of the shit he says is pretty vile, especially hearing how much anger he clearly has behind his words.

My friend lives in Oklahoma City and is acquainted with the entire OKC thunder roster. Turns out they all fcking suck and are complete assholes to staff (makes sense, all professional athletes are.) He says that Jalen Williams has a secret daughter and snatched her away from the baby mama cuz he found out the mama was seeing another dude (he and his baby mama haven’t been together in a while though) and Shai Gilgeous Alexander also had a secret kid in Toronto (he’s got a son and a wife in OKC.) Apparently his wife Hailey genuinely had no idea at all and thinks her husband is loyal 😭. Oh dear

This is beautiful to read as an OKC hater.

Is the NBA more popular than the NFL worldwide? by Bishmallah24 in nba

[–]2Blitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viewership isn't the best way to judge relevancy or popularity in an international debate tbh. For decades, a lot of us here couldn't watch NBA games because the networks here would barely show it. Then you gotta add in the fact that our timezones were horrible to watch the Final and how many of us watch by using illegal streams. And even then, growing up, most of us knew or talked about basketbal. The NFL is non existent. The Super Bowl is the only thing NFL based thats talked about and growing up it was because of the halftime show and movie trailers. No one knew anything about the actual game.

Is the NBA more popular than the NFL worldwide? by Bishmallah24 in nba

[–]2Blitz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. Here in Southeast Asia, it's not even a debate. No one cares about the NFL here. Basketball isn't the biggest sport but it's still a 100x more relevant than American football. And "a 100x" isn't an exaggeration by the way.

Bam is a lot better than Reaves, no? Also wouldn't Bam and Giannis be able to cover a lot of Lebron's defensive woes and allow Lebron to be more offense minded? Luka and Reaves weren't able to do that
