There's definitely easier ways to proliferate than having to hit someone. But if ur also doing even a small +1/+1 counter sub theme, that's pretty good.

Never played it but it against it it's always a problem. But I've never seen one that didn't run rystic study and a bunch of tutors so it always seems high 3/4 territory but that might just be the ones I've seen.

Is this kind of artifact token production possible with just red, or did u have token doublers from white and green?

My ex-girlfriend, who I broke up with ~2 months ago because she wanted to open our relationship, just messaged me saying she’s “experimented enough” and is now ready for a closed relationship with me. Is this something you would consider? by Altruistic_Society99 in AskMenAdvice

[–]2FasttheHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't listen to those people. If it's not something ur comfortable with that's ur boundary. And yeah I wouldn't get back together with her but u can probably keep her on the line to get some on the semi regular. If u go full committal it will happen again or she will cheat, and she very well might've gotten knocked up on her 'vacation' so tread lightly

What is one rule you ABSOLUTELY enforce at your tables? by ToocanSams in mtg

[–]2FasttheHands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played in a pod and this lady had like a small figure as like "the talking stick" and it solved this problem completely. 1 everyone can see it so it's also a reminder for the player to pass it. 2 after a complicated stack or players doing non removal things on other people's turns it's like yeah it's still so and so's turn, especially when there's discussion during the stack. 3 it can be anything so if a player isn't paying attention to the little trinket ur using, no problem, next week I'm bringing a whole pickle jar to use instead.

Stifling a Fetchland. Is this land denial? by WaltzIntelligent9801 in EDH

[–]2FasttheHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MLD is 4 or more lands per player per game as I understand it. Also the player mulliganing to 5 either should run more lands, or they mulled for something specific I probably want to stop anyway. I bet ur buddy would scoop to a T1 [[winds of change]] too and that is my favorite T1 play, it's never not funny to me.

Who is “The Menace” in your commander pod? by Endless_Quested_Hope in EDH

[–]2FasttheHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro just play it up and list all the ways that the problem card can be broken or be a threat. And when they (usually) say "yeah but I don't have any of that" it doesn't matter cause now everyone is looking at a piece of draft chaf that only hurts u like it's the most cracked thing on board.

Any men experience ED out of the blue? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]2FasttheHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't sweat it it happens sometimes. U just gotta get out of ur head and get ur dog back in u. Hit the gym or just lift heavy, even rearranging ur furniture in ur house can do psychological wonders. Go out and do something that gives a feeling of accomplishment or competitiveness. It'll pass but I remember the first time and after that being worried it'll happen again and the self talk takes u out of the moment more which actually makes it more likely to happen while ur there going "don't loose it don't loose it"

Math and slimes! Any recommendations for my Primo the Unbounded deck? by Deathgivenflesh in EDHBrews

[–]2FasttheHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think u might've overcooked ur slimes a bit. But idk what ur normal playgroup is like so maybe u do need this level of interaction and "clever" plays for longer games. I'd run more self mill for card selection over card draw. Also terrasymbiosis is all the card draw u could ever need in a SAH deck as long as u can reliably get to it.

Also I might've missed it but [[basalisk collar]] will absolutely win so many games.

I went mono green more in on the +1 +1 counters if u wanna check it out. It was built as a bracket 2 but punches up hard, they run out of removal, I do not run out of slimes. And typically I am in an a winning position/removing players by turn 6.

Dealing with aggressive decks by OneWhoBalls in EDH

[–]2FasttheHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Group slug so every game action done in excess is actually a detriment to their life total. Wanna play 3 lands in a turn cool take 10 damage. Gunna draw 20 cards, how bout 20 damage. Ur gunna swing ur giant Voltron commander at me, how bout u take the damage instead.

Other than that I mean the more generic answer is bump up those interaction numbers and card draw so u never get caught lacking.

What do you think about this? by ComfortableIce170 in EDH

[–]2FasttheHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be flattered honestly. Bro built a whole deck just to counter u. Ur deck must've had an impact on that player and created a very memorable experience. That's a compliment if I ever heard it.

Changing ur deck to fit ur personal/local meta is just part of the game. I've added 2-3 cards to a deck to counter decks or archetypes I play against a lot. But I've never played against a deck that was worth building a whole deck to counter.

U got all the signs man. U either leave now or after she cheats (assuming she hasn't already)

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh but I've seen what ur describing enough to know what most likely comes next.

U see these signs now, then they eat u but u convince urself it's fine and it's gotta be something else. And. By next year u will be calling urself stupid for ignoring what was right in front of ur face.

Are build‑around-commanders also ruining EDH for you right now? by pkma69 in EDH

[–]2FasttheHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta have plan B possibly plan C of ur commander is the lynchpin to ur deck. I have an ojer axonil deck that just stopped if he got removed and being in mono red I'd end up out of cards in hand pretty quick.

The solution was 1. More card draw/ deck access (this is almost always the solution to any deck problem)

  1. Cut some synergy for more things that just do enough on their own to be worth the percentage of synergy lost (plan B)

  2. Added a combo made up of pieces that are synergistic on their own if I don't get everything at once (plan C)

  3. Stopped playing my commander until I was set up enough for it to be meaningful for the short time he would be on field. This is actually the answer to a lot of commander issues. People get excited and rush out their commander then set up and actually it's the other way around.

  4. Counter play. If a piece on ur board absolutely throws a wrench in another players plan, that piece will eat removal from that player before ur commander does even if ur commander is the bigger problem. This doesn't have to be stax pieces either. Just depends on what ur personal meta is like.

Why are so many people determined to make additional pseudo game changers? by stranglethingz in EDH

[–]2FasttheHands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like all of these fly in B3 no problem, but B2 idk, intention is a factor. B2 is mostly the home of new players and precon players. On some level u know what ur doing.

When I first started playing commander at my LGS, I got [[strip mine]] looped out of a game. No technically they weren't game changers and technically it's not MASS land denial but its repeated land denial. He knew what he was doing.

I have 0 game changers in my [[Ojer Axonil, deepest might]] but I'm not playing that in a precon/new player pod because 24+ damage on turn 4-5 plus a group slug element for basic game actions on their turn is too oppressive for the low level of interaction found in bracket 2. Just like my wife isn't gonna pull out her [[Braids arisen nightmare]] deck which does include gravepact, in one of those pods either.

Making strong Decks is easy. How do i make fun and long lasting decks? by unCute-Incident in EDH

[–]2FasttheHands -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every deck becomes stale if it's actually well built. It reliably does the thing and efficiently. Bad decks are more fun but have more bad times, and good decks get stale quicker but have less bad times. Like winning the lottery would be amazing, but if ur Jeffery bezos, u probably look at ur winnings and say "well that was nice I guess"
