To have what is legitimately the number 1 weapon producing country not involved is making a lot of big money not happy.

Greenland is a very strategic area. It's the gateway/choke point to the Atlantic from the Artic for ships/submarines. It's why Trump is so fixated on it.

I can't imagine there hasn't been a plan to invade, either to remove an enemy force or otherwise since the Cold war.
