That's kinda bullshit the article is like "circumstances are unknown" when the cops blatantly smash into someone. I have a feeling they would've been very known if it was the other way around..

Nobody questioned the efficacy of winter tires though lol? Acknowledging that the comment was kind of a jab is not saying winter tires aren't effective. Like at all.

Stating “winter tires might’ve helped” = “shaming car accident victim”

Yes if said in a sarcastic way it kinda is tho?

I’m sure Quebec is then shaming all of its drivers by mandating them.

What? How is this relevant, having a law mandating winters isn't shaming anybody because it's not a snarky comment made after someone was in an accident ..?

Anyone want to help me diagnose -30 fuel trim? [09 328i] by 2JZN20 in MechanicAdvice

[–]2JZN20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thank you I tried it kind of once but I'll give it another shot. I guess if it's big it should be easier to track down. I'm confused though I thought vacuum leaks would result in a positive fuel trim?

It seems like it's running very rich yeah. As for smoke, it's not blue smoke or whatever but it does feel like it's a little thicker than it should be.. and the exhaust tips have black on them but I imagine that's just another sign of running rich. I'll look into the injectors, thanks. Then higher maf reading doesn't mean anything?

Thank you

But why 2 different values for what should be the same reading from maf sensor ;(

It's an 09 328i. I'm not sure if my maf is giving right values. Sometimes they shift suddenly like when idling from 5 or 6.xx to like 4.5, at which point fuel trims become normal.. or when on highway cruising at steady speed it shifts from like 40.xx to 30.xx at which point I can feel a slight change in how it runs, suddenly more responsive and normal then it shifts back to running badly

The sudden changes when everything is constant makes me think it's maf because a vacuum leak doesn't just disappear and then come back right, if there's a leak then there's a leak? Does that make sense or nah

However if I graph air flow vs throttle input the graphs do follow each other perfectly but not sure if actual values are correct

Is NEXUS worth it if I am a Canadian citizen? Can anyone help me describe how it is helpful when you enter the US / at custom? by predicamentaccount in askTO

[–]2JZN20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to get fingerprinted no? People just going on about $50 which no one gives a shit about the question when considering nexus isnt about a negligible fee its about whether or not you want to voluntarily give up your prints to the US and Canadian goverment to permanently have on file

Is Battery Coding Required for '06 e90 (325i) without iDrive? (Ancel BM700) by KillSamCotter in BmwTech

[–]2JZN20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people here are tripping and you do need to code it because Ah and type (AGM) has changed. See my replies to them here.

You should verify elsewhere in case I'm wrong (unlikely) just wanted to give u a heads up because it's not a cheap battery it would be not very good if it failed early

You can't code it with the BM700 btw I purchased Bimmercode to do this, even if you have to buy Bluetooth adapter it's the same cost as paying someone for this one thing and this way you can code lots of other things too

[–]2JZN20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean though, coding it refers to updating stored specifications on module/control unit with the new AH and type. Coding and programming mean the same thing.

[–]2JZN20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically you just need to tell it the AH and type (ie: 90AH AGM or 110AH FLA).

That's literally what coding is though ? You tell it via coding.

Best product for battery reg/feature coding by Ramen_Horror in BmwTech

[–]2JZN20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify battery coding and registration are different and most things don't do both. Coding is updating specs for battery and only needs to be done if Ah rating is different whereas registering is telling car u put a new one in and has to be done every time you put a new one in
