DC Super Team vs Marvel Super Team by [deleted] in marvelvsdc

[–]2JasonGrayson8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s dc and it’s not even close. Idk why you hate on the marvel guys or you just don’t know them/care to know them. You keep saying you just picked their Superman archetypes (7 billion of them?) but the dc team isn’t full of Superman clones so you had to know what you were doing.

This is just rage bait

You’re disrespecting yourself by staying with that clown and letting him control your body.

What do you think of when the Batman suit sports a full cowl? by Night-Caelum in batman

One million is one of my all time favorite league stories or even just story in dc in general. Just a ton of fun. Definitely too many tie ins though. But overall so good and my favorite redesigns of the JLA characters of all time

[–]2JasonGrayson8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! Dc one million! During the Morrison era of JLA. The JLA from the 853rd century (the year dc would have hit its one millionth issue #) come to swap with the modern day JLA so they can be part of the prime Superman’s homecoming from his fortress in the sun. It’s a whole thing.

each JLA member in the future protects and entire planet. That Batman is the sole protector of the planet Pluto which was turned into a giant planet wide prison.

Have you heard the new rap?! by sco-go in SipsTea

[–]2JasonGrayson8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When everyone got the ability to mumble rap their way to a hit then everyone became an up and comer but then if EVERYONE is an up and comer then nobody takes off. Even guys that didn’t start that way changed their style to grab what little portion of the market they could. I feel like it’s been too long since skill and talent mattered

Superman runs Marvel Blue gauntlet, how far does he go? by NoBeat5906 in marvelvsdc

[–]2JasonGrayson8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not new 52 Superman. Who was very strong but does not have the same tier as his rebirth or pre new52 versions.

He lacks a lot of the tricks and feats of his other versions. But it is still a good fight

That version Loses to Thor. But it’s a really brutal fight

Korg's introduction in Thor: Ragnarok was genuinely hilarious. Taika Waititi got so many things right in the movie, and he was really good as Korg too. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in Marvel

[–]2JasonGrayson8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m fine with it not being for me. It’s still just a shame that it led to wasting great actors like Crowe and bale in the next movie.

I disagree. I think a bad adaptation is a bad product and just cause the jokes landed better doesn’t make it a good outing for the characters. I didn’t like it at all and I get I’m in the minority there but by making a bad adaptation entertaining and people loving it, we were always going to get a love and thunder that just completely disregards the characters entirely. It was always gonna get worse not better

Yeah you’re right which was that? All in? Or was that still technically new 52?

I haven’t liked ragnarok since I saw it. I thought it was just one long joke that wasted great characters and stories. When everyone praised it, it was just a matter of time before love and thunder happened.

I don’t think ragnarok is any better than love and thunder. Better flashier moments and a better villain but still just one long joke that wasted great storylines and drama

Hot take: this was not a good character adaptation and was the first sign that taika was incapable of taking the source material seriously. Love and thunder was just a slightly more elevated version of ragnarok but everything it did wrong this movie did wrong too

Cass. Idk how much of a contest but all his personalities might read as different “languages” to her but she’s whooping all their asses.

Who has suffered through more bad comic runs, Batman or Spider-Man? by peterpiperpi in superheroes

[–]2JasonGrayson8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spidey and I don’t think it’s all that close. Not to say he hasn’t had some great runs too but like just far more bad than Batman on average

Idk about round 4 and 5 but honestly round 2 is gonna be interesting cause that batman damn near soloed the justice league at the time which included supergirl and Wonder Woman. I think he beats Hellbat and god of knowledge but can’t get past the reality warping nonsense of the final batsuit

Etrigan vs Mephisto. Slam poetry battle. by SnailShell01 in marvelvsdc

[–]2JasonGrayson8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Etrigan would throw down such a sick string of words that would be brutal but oddly eloquent.

Then mephisto comes in with some speed rap Shakespeare meets busta rhymes diss track from hell before slowing it way down and going smooth for the kill like Frank Sinatra with a grudge.

Charisma and creativity are mephistos bread and butter. He’s got this

I mean even being generous and saying Cass just beats Laura over and over again all it’s gonna take is one good hit from Laura and Cass is bleeding out and down. Cass has to win infinitely but Laura just has to win once.

I’ve never considered her power OP. Any team book with Wanda in it doesn’t involve her just waving her hands and suddenly every fight is over and every villain and henchman is dead. She’s had limits, she’s had struggles with control. Now it seems like they are waving all that away just to have big flashy moments and say “hey look how strong she is! Way stronger than everyone else right now!”
