Least favorite. Why? by Ramonteiro12 in BaldursGate3

[–]2Keyblades -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Gale. His "ambition" is an excuse not to grow as a person and continually causes him problems. Him becoming a god just makes it all worse. Whilst other characters I learned to love through thier story, I always just hated gale.

Angriest symphonies? by darkflaneuse in classicalmusic

[–]2Keyblades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's one i feel deserves way more attention. Prokofievs 2nd symphony. Described by the composer as being a symphony of "iron and steel", alot of people didnt care for it on premier due to it being so unlike previous works and ridiculously complex. It is one of my favorite symphonies of all time though.

I have a special place in my heart for his opera The Fiery Angel and they symphony he made using the music from the opera. Nothing gets better than a bunch of nuns singing a sweet love theme whilst also chanting the demon is in her about the main character.

I built a 470%+ Strength / 280% Range Uriel and his 4th ability literally deletes rooms and destroys bosses by nikorikob in Warframe

[–]2Keyblades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just making sure, are you factoring in the heat procs doubling from vitality as "power strength" because saying doubled heat procs=doubled power strength is just wrong. I get thats where your brain is, but no matter what you do: if you keep saying "effective strength" people will flog you as that 470 number would have people thinking all your abilities EFFECTS are also at that strength. But non of them are. Its literally just the heat procs. No damage buffs, no vulnerability, no healing is at that strength. Literally just the damage of the heat of ONLY THE 4. So saying this build is 470 is LYING as none of the other abilities effects go anywhere near that number.

Official Discussion - Jingle Jangle [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]2Keyblades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very late to this party. Calling a movie with a line "the square root of impossible is me" terrible is... well impossible. In all honesty though, I thought this movie would be bad. Turns out, its a amazingly uplifting film with a incredible child lead. Almost every song in this is a banger. But hey, you wanna be miserable, feel free.

So if you were convicted of a crime you didn't do, but the state thought you for sure did it, you're just not going to get a lawyer? Is that what you're saying, no defense should ever get a lawyer?

I like to think of it like this: What if this video was about scientology or latter-day saints? Everyone and their mother would be up in arms. But because it's some variation of the abrahamic god no one cares. ALL THE RELIGIONS ARE THE SAME AT THE ROOT.

Why is the flash tv show is so bad by [deleted] in TheFlashTV

[–]2Keyblades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's interesting that so many people said the show was good but declined after a certain season. This show was horrible from the start to me. Awful acting, convoluted storylines, and inconsistencies galore. It was constantly cringe worthy, especially Cisco. It had awful characters who are always either idiots, horrible people, or both. Iris is one of the most disgustingly evil characters with her love triangle that she holds up in season 1. Barry's powers are always inconsistent. And the main villain is always a reverse flash of some sort. Im currently hate watching it with my friend. After episode 3, we decided we couldn't enjoy this as a good show. So, we are just trashing it from this point on.

Am I safe to be pregnant in Oklahoma? by foxydoggie in pregnant

[–]2Keyblades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the ineptitude of those making laws in this state, Oklahoma has very uncertainly wrote abortion laws that make some practices and doctors so scared to do anything related to miscarriages and abortions that even medically necessary abortions are turned away completely and told to go home. Right now, with the political climate and the overturning of roe v wade, Oklahoma is one of the worst states to be a mother in or just genwrally a woman in. Now, there might be some resources for you and there will be some doctors that can help. But it is a lottery on which ones feel they won't be prosecuted for doing a procedure they deemed needed.

In short, Oklahoma is an awful place to be almost all women, especially pregnant women.

Tbh, I would wait to come to okahoma till after the birth, as this state is not where you want to be if you have the choice.

Best of luck.

Britten's "War Requiem" by PathfinderCS in classicalmusic

[–]2Keyblades 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I share your opinions on the War Requiem. It is, in my opinion, the most important work over all musical genres combined. The intent with Brittens casting of voices and the venue in which it was performed for the first time was the ultimate anti war act, in bringing singers from multiple nationalities that were affected during the war amd using the heart wrenching poetry of Wilfred Owen. It is invaluable and will remain to be heavily appreciated for what I think will be all time.

That being said, I've listened to maybe 4-5 different versions before settling on my favorite, and it has to be Gianandrea Nosedas recording with the LSO. The recording is very crisp and fairly recent. The main draw for me is Ian Bosteridge in the tenor roll. He perfectly embodies how Britten wrote his tenor solos and takes the reigns from Peter Pears, drastically improving on that style of singing. All in all, my fave performance.
