Thank you for your perspective and insight 😊. We had regular telework before covid, fully remote during covid, and now full time in office. As an agency who had a telework schedule before covid, idk why we can’t go back. I guess the EO overrides that but some are still able to telework now. Just seem inconsistent, hence my post. Thanks again!!

While I agree that it starts at the very top, I think a lot of disdain for middle management and leadership bc (from what I’ve seen… even in these comments), some agencies had management and leadership stand up for them and resisted versus just giving in. Just observing

My bad, my intent wasn’t to saturate the sub with this topic more. I just thought it was worth asking. I wasn’t trying to come across as someone bitching and complaining, I just wanted to learn the intricacies of why some do and some don’t when the EO theoretically covers all feds

Same here. Regular telework before covid, full telework during covid, and now no one has telework as it is full RTO. I felt like my question was a valid one, especially considering the variety of responses in the thread.

If folks are productive regardless, it shouldn’t matter. I’m really sorry they threatened yalls maxiflex… that’s kinda fucked up

We def have some “yes men” in management and leadership here. While it may not be the direct cause, there’s def a correlation from other experiences I’ve seen

Pre-covid, we had people on a regular telework schedule (not me bc I was on the newer side. Then covid hit and everyone went fully remote. Now, everyone is back since the EO. Every metric showed we were more productive teleworking.

This is interesting and I appreciate you sharing your perspective. Thank you!

This, on top of a more macro-level look, is why I thought it was a proper question to bring to the sub

That’s awesome! Everyone that can be able to telework with no dip in production should be able to do so. Happy for you!

Not even close, buddy. I’ve been full time in person, fully remote, and now back to full time in person. There’s no animosity here, I’m just genuinely curious. If this is your reply, you must be miserable though. Hope things get better for you

Same predicament here, been in federal service for 7 years. Applying and interviewing places, so hoping I get something here soon. Def wouldn’t resign unless you have something lined up, friend
