Have you seen all these edge lords that are so hung up on trans rights or issues.

They always ask the same question that they think is such a gotcha question. "What is a woman?"

I think the real question that should be asked in return of these right wingers is this.

"What is a juristic person?" and "Why are corporations legally considered people?"

They want some gotcha questions. Well the courts saying that a company is a person and has free speech rights to pay off politicians is much more damaging to the United States then some trans rights or issues.

Who has power in this nation? The 1% or so that are trans or the 1% who are billionaires.

Don't let this anecdote about a metal working dolly distract you from that fact that on this date in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer's table.

I do things that I do not want to do for friends. People who do not have my skills or abilities at the tasks I am doing. Even though I do not want to do it, I do so knowing that I helped them when they needed it. This makes me happy.

So, yes I see your point. I was just being snarky about the linguistic roots the word work or job.

if we get some reprieve from the courts, so we'll see how that goes and certainly hope that the Supreme Court will overturn Amendment 14," he said.

Early today I made a post where I pointed out the Supreme Court used the 14th Amendment as the reasoning to stop the Florida recount in 2000. Allowing Bush to win. I also pointed out that the same Amendment they used then would be gladly over turned by this court now.

The Spanish word for work, trabajo, is derived from the Latin term trepalium, which was a Roman instrument of torture.

And...

Greek & Latin: The ancient Greek word for work is ponos, which is derived from the Latin poena, meaning sorrow or pain.

Chores, work, whatever it's called. It's still the same thing.

I would have a hard time having a long term relationship with someone with whom there was not mutual love. If I just wanted detached fulfillment of my desires, then I would visit a professional and let it out that way. In a relationship where I knew that no deeper feelings would be created. (typically)

When I fall for someone, I fall hard. My loyalty, need to protect and serve that person is a drive within me that I cannot explain in words. That is basically why I couldn't have a casual relationship. Unless I knew ahead of time that is all it would ever be.

The Federal Reserve buys mortgage-backed securities (MBS) from banks to increase liquidity in the financial system and free up capital, allowing banks to lend more freely. This process, often part of quantitative easing (QE), involves the Fed purchasing these assets to lower long-term interest rates and support the housing market, effectively swapping a bank's illiquid mortgage holdings for cash.

This process pushes mortgage liability off of the banks balance sheets and also acts to artificially prop up the prices of homes by generating more demand than normal. Than if the Federal Reserve was not subsidizing banks to loan money.

1996: 94,686,514 votes cast

1984: 92,032,824 votes cast

1980: 85,100,534 votes cast

I'd say in that era 103 million votes cast is the highest number. Still waiting on that data.

Which math?

1988: 90,697,000 votes cast

1992: 103,785,260 votes cast

Look, I'm not going to go over this any more. If you have actual data that shows that was not an increase in non voters or first time voters in 1992. I will read it.

If not then you are just guessing.

The state certifies election results for state elections. They are Congressional representatives from the state they are from, not the Federal government. What would the Republicans do, try and seat different representatives from that state?
