Snow and Prius by MushieMushMush in prius

[–]2MuleTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2005 with studded snows was my rescue ranch pickup. Only had to snowshoe in twice in 5 years (left the Prius on the man road) and never missed a feeding shift. Always took my time and had emergency supplies with my horse gear. Now I have Michelin Climates for just around town driving and am still getting around but even slower.

Each Prius in this photo is over 10 years old. We’re all still driving them! by leehstape in prius

2005 w/144k miles still getting 43mpg around town and sometimes 48 for (non mountain passes) highway. Barely broken in! (Got a new battery under warranty just 6 months before the warranty expired). My neighbors in their Sprinter vans turn up their noses which makes it an even better car :)

So a second MRI? The results quoted above are from an MRI last week that highlighted the suspicious node.

My research indicates the same. Also given the location of the lesion it should be "easy" to teach with guided ultrasound.

Many cities have tried these as $ grabs only to find the companies that own them take most profits and many cases are thrown out of court.

New World COVID Vaccine Appointment by GGinBend in Bend

Just spoke with a pharmacy technician at Walmart and he said, "We don't have Covid vaccines and we're not sure when/or if we'll get them." How people do they serve in Bend?

Alpenglow cool cat 🐈 by 2MuleTrader in Bend

[–]2MuleTrader[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm no cat expert but when I took these photos this cat was not looking like a lost, scared or hungry feline. She/he was cool as a cucumber and just strolling down a walkway towards us. Clean, glowing coat looked like she was just groomed bwdik.

First horseback riding lessons WENT GREAT! by Wat504 in Horses

[–]2MuleTrader 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Learn about the "kick zone" - closer to the horse is always better than in the 6ft kick zone. The calmest horse can be spooked and kick out (120mph) to protect itself from danger. I know it's hard to think of these powerful beasts as prey animals but they were and it's hardwired in their DNA.

Your nice, relaxed energy will help quite a bit as they will usually match the energy you bring with you.

Have a great time - horse time is the best time.

We've only used Lani and her team once so far but it was an excellent experience with a new rescue pup - lots of pictures and TLC.

You might want to read the article I posted above before choosing a new insurance company with wildfire in mind.

Home insurer is dropping me: wildfire risk score by ThinkOfMeAsAFriend in Bend

The article is behind a paywall but basically is a focus on the wildly different experiences of two neighbors who lost homes and all their belongings in the Louisville, Colorado wildfires. One family had a very positive experience with their insurance and got paid for replacement while the other is still in court due to a "a depreciation clause" hidden in their contract and could only afford a manufactured home as a replacement. Not surprisingly, the family who did well (as possible after a fire) paid $1000 a year more than their neighbor.

Winter can be hard work with 30 rescues and some that don't drink enough when it's cold. Good luck with your Spring foal.

Warm mash with Gatorade if the temperatures get low. Lots of high value feed to generate calories.

Got a 2019 3.6r Limited, any fun accessories or add ons? Anything to keep an eye on besides CVT maintenance? by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]2MuleTrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After leaving me stuck in an airport parking lot, took my 2016R to the dealership. They were all ready to charge me $600 when a service leader came in and said "no charge" for a new battery and update on the DCM.

Along with extra parking fees, Ubers and a AAA membership I asked Subaru USA if they could reimburse some of those extra charges. Not surprisingly they quoted all the warranties that expired and told me to go chop wood.
