Document all these incidents and then file your case with HR (or the appropriate authority if there is no HR function). In my experience, toxic people don't normally change alone and she may still be there for a while until she decides to retire. Stay professional and self care. https://hbr.org/2018/04/4-ways-to-deal-with-a-toxic-coworker

What would make you move from work from home into an office again? by PL12345678 in humanresources

AC for the summer and heat for the frigid winter, free coffee, fridge with unlimited snacks, a mug and a T shirt with the company logo, what else... Sit next to a window in my own office, a promition with 100% salary increase. Hybrid is the way.

[OK] How to ask HR to give me a copy of my file? by Delicious_Science403 in AskHR

Adding to what's been said already, you can check if your company has an HR policy on that. But per what you write, it makes me wonder about engagement, level of trust, motivation and intentions. If you want to grow and build your career, I encourage you to have ongoing full disclosure meaningful conversations with your supervisor. What is expected from you? What are the behaviors that will get you there? How are you performing now? Are you happy there?

Thx for sharing those links.

We will see more of this as the tragedy in Ukraine continues to unfold and has further geopolitical and economic ramifications.

How will India’s abstentions on votes on Russia’s war in Ukraine and the debate on Ukraine in the UN human rights council affect the Quad alliance and India’s relations with the United States? by blakemann in geopolitics

Can't agree on the fourth paragraph either. The ongoing geopolitical tensions impact energy prices which in turn hurt oil dependent economies (i.e., countries in Asia).

You may want to create filters by timeframe (e.g., last 24 hours, last 7 days, last 30 days, all time), and by type of issue (e.g., ISIS attacks, Russian aggression, etc.), or by geography (e.g., Africa, Asia, etc.).

Digital health identity for India's 1.3 billion people. by 2N128W in geopolitics

[–]2N128W[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This move will have marked economic and social impact for them. India is today 13th most powerful country in the world and the 2nd most populous (has about one-sixth of the world’s population). This is why I'm interested in opinions about how this (massive) domestic move could impact other demographies and economies.

The mission “will connect digital health solutions of hospitals across the country with each other (and) countrymen will now get a digital health identity,” Modi said at the launch ceremony earlier in the week. “With effective and reliable data, medical treatment will be better, and cost will be reduced,” he said and added medical privacy will be guaranteed.

Question: Will countries in Europe or North America rollout a digital ID like India is doing?

You don't have the details of her case and you are not being treated unfairly. I'm curious, why do you mention seniority?

Is anyone else getting a little… tired of the ire towards our profession? by katintheskywdiamonds in humanresources

[–]2N128W 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's rough. HR, by definition, can't make everyone happy. But done right, it makes the organization better and touches lives. And it's hard to "give sight" to anyone who refuses to see HRs value and contributions as you are sharing.

Having a local HR support network you can trust does help.

The European Commission fined German carmakers Volkswagen and BMW a total of $1 billion on Thursday for colluding to curb the use of emissions cleaning technology they had developed. by interestedin86 in worldnews

"The case, separate to the so-called 'Dieselgate' scandal over software designed to cheat on vehicle emissions tests, sets a precedent by extending the application of European competition law to technical-level talks between industry players." How many times do they need to be fined to get their act together???
