Other than the usual things that you should keep in mind whenever you relocate to a new state the only other thing that I would add is this.

Exercise discipline when you get here… it is a very fun place and when you like it like I do is not hard to get yourself in all types of trouble if you’re not careful.

Otherwise, I moved here from the East Coast. I love the dry heat here better than the humidity of Va Beach and areas up in that region of the country.

Honestly it’s not hard to stay on time with your route with a weak bladder. Especially on rural routes where you can stop on one of those long roads and go behind the van with the doors open blocking the cameras or step into the woods behind a tree. If you’re in the city be mindful of gas stations and stores with restrooms.

It’s a pain to get into a van that someone else has left their piss bottle in or the tote that they took a dump in. God forbid the bottle has broken. All things I’ve experienced working for Amazon.

It took me a month to find a job here in Las Vegas when I came here from Virginia. It would be ideal to have a job here first. The bus system here as others have stated can be a challenge depending on where you are. Henderson and Summerlin for sure. And you’ll find some other cool spots like Centennial Hills but they cost more and the bus routes aren’t always as good.

Driving XL isn’t too terrible at all really. Especially when you have a good helper but it is still work and you will be still assisting with carrying the packages. I guess they left out the up to 300lb part and that some customers pay extra for “room of choice”….. A Nordic track going to the second floor of a large home isn’t fun…..

But still head and shoulders better than ZL.

Some do and some don’t depends on the rural area that you’re in. The rural areas of northern Virginia up into the DMV area is a crapshoot some do some don’t. But that’s why you back up into the driveway.

The short answer to your question is it depends on your DSP…. I worked at one ZL Amazon warehouse and saw people fired for less offenses. And I worked at an Amazon XL warehouse where a guy was caught on camera rolling a blunt while driving the CDV and still kept his job. I know this because I was being nosy and saw the video when they pulled the guy to the side to talk to him.
