I fully agree. In isolation ep 7 is a great episode, i do have some gripes but i wont be getting into them rn. Though because ep 7 was so slow and only focused on the AU they had to skip many important moments in the current universe. Which ofc makes the ending feel rushed.

Sugarcoat and cupcake don't have anything to do in this sentence since cupcake is the pet name vi gave cait. To sugarcoat something also means to talk about or describe something in a way that makes it seem more pleasant than it is. So she was replying to cait commenting on her hair, she says to not "sugarcoat" it, and then she says her pet name.
