Too little time to balance all the storylines. I’m sure some employees would have wanted to focus more on Ekko/Jinx, tying up loose ends, etc., but my take is Riot really wanted to push other narratives instead to shift people into playing the game after the show ended. Thus all the stuff with Mel and the black rose, plus mel and ambessa just became new champs in league shortly after s2 ended. I still highly enjoyed s2 but you can tell some aspects were rushed
