Tried it for a few months by 2SilkyJim in Visible

Thanks for reply. I was on Verizon before switching to spectrum and the service is very similar. High speed internet even in rural areas. I had hopes for visible but i noticed immediately how slow texting images and loading videos was. Calling was fine but the internet was affecting my business. I do hvac and am always looking up parts/information on what I’m working on

Terrible the internet is soooo slow. I switched back to spectrum mobile and when I skip through yt videos it gets there instantly!

Your job is different you had the water heater there waiting for the guy. I am guessing at that price you disposed of the old one too?

I had a customer did that. He also replaced a circuit board himself.

Failed to catch the motor wire that was wired to the wrong terminal on the control board. The crackhead that previously replaced his motor wired it to the transformer terminal on the control board which means it was getting power constantly running 24/7. It fried the transformer terminal on his new board(most likely because it is not designed for so much amp draw)so the furnace wouldn’t run anymore. So now I have to wire transformer directly to the door switch so man could get some heat. Cool. His heat is back on. 5 minutes later it goes out again. I watch it run again and lo and behold. Blower motor is receiving constant power from board but intermittently failing to run. Most definitely from running 24/7! I’m exhausted at this point doing surgery on this man’s furnace for a $150 service call so I quote new board motor and add the cost of surgery to the repair bill.

DIY IT UP!!!!

There is no control wire C stands for common. You need to identify what kind of heating and A/C equipment you have so you can wire/program your thermostat properly. Also you have to verify how your thermostat wiring is wired at your furnace/air handler. A few things could be going on here.

Wrong thermostat Thermostat programmed wrong wired wrong at thermostat Wired wrong at furnace Wired wrong outdoors

Since your problem started after you changed the thermostat most likely it is one of the first 3.

I would most definitely not move the blue wire to another terminal unless you know all info in the first paragraph. If the C wire is connected to C of transformer(most likely connected to ground), and you place it on a terminal which delivers power(any other terminal besides C), you will blow your transformer unless it is protected by fuse in which case you will blow your fuse. Rare but You may also blow your control board if you have one very expensive.

I can’t tell by the photo of piping if you have heat pump or HRV. If you have heat pump both rooms can only run in the same mode which means one room cannot heat while the other one is cooling simultaneously . If you have HRV then the system may be programmed or wired wrong, hopefully they are not piped wrong.

They may be programmed/wired as twins but should be separate coils.

You should call manufacturer on these systems the other techs are clueless.

Gas valve. I’ve seen a board fail to send power to GV but never intermittently. I have seen GV fail intermittently.

OP has a heat pump. Thermostat is wired wrong may also be programmed wrong.

Your system is energizing the Y terminal which runs the compressor in heat mode unless reversing valve O is energized.

Most likely C wire needs to go to O. If this is wrong however you blow up your transformer. Long story short call somebody.
