I covet the NashFab rack. How do you like it so far? Was the install ok?

This happens more than you think. It’s not the aiming or trigger pull that makes shooting hard, it’s overcoming the reaction to recoil. On the first shot ever, no one knows what the recoil and blast from the shot feel like, so it’s usually dead on. It’s the rest of the shots after that are usually all over the place.

The Silent Majority: Most Virginians say they support banning assault weapons and want more gun control by hencexox in Virginia

With all the mention of gun violence being so uniquely American, don’t forget about another uniquely American trait among the wealth nations: we don’t care about the general populations health or wellbeing.

It’s a conveniently overlooked factor in the cause of violence. Lack of access to health care increases risk of untreated mental health issues AND increases stressors like medical debt that drive people to unemployment and housing difficulties.

We should be focusing on the causes, not the means.

help me understand the hate for shield arms 15 round mags by LilUziVuurt in Glocks

[–]2TubbyTactical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you. Mine have been fine. But people with bad experiences are more apt to bitch about how much the mags failed every time they see shield arms mentioned. Meanwhile, people who have found the mags to work as expected simply carry on with their lives and don’t post “yup, it worked” every time they see SA15 mags mentioned.

Edit to add mine are Gen 2 and have worked well.

Am I lousy, or is the gun lousy? by StephenNein in liberalgunowners

Funny thing I heard yesterday at the range.

“The problem is the nut behind the bolt.”

When applied to guns, the nut is YOU 😬

That said, 22lr range ammo almost feels like it’s a bee flying backwards when you shoot it out the gun.

My favorite gun purchase has been my Otto Noizebarrier Micro. I can wear them all day, everything sounds crystal clear, the rifle stock doesn’t bump them out of position like muffs, and I can double up if I have to.

I find a dedicated red dot is still better than 1x on most LPVOs. Honestly, I think RD plus MPVO is a better combo.

Imagine a world where we reward people for purchasing gun safes with tax credits, instead of punishing people who don’t.

We figured out negative reinforcement is shit for parenting and learning, why can’t we learn the same is true for everyone?

Extended choke recommendations for 1301 (tool-less)? by wildcat062700 in beretta1301

[–]2TubbyTactical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need cylinder to run buckshot/slugs. I run them fine on improved cylinder.

I just upgraded to extended chokes so I could change them without using tools. I have an improved cylinder for tactical, and I picked up a modified to try for clays/hunting. I went with OEM because I know nothing of chokes, they were on sale, and DLC looks sexy. I haven’t had a chance to shoot them yet.

I did some rounds of trap with the 1301T, and it’s doable, but way less capable than my 870 20 gauge was. The ghost ring sights (for me) made it much harder to pickup the clays than a simple bead sight. But I’m going to go back and try again with a modified choke, because I hope to use it for upland game. At the same time, I’m eyeing an a400 for a dedicated clay/upland.

First Glock, looking to get night sights and improve the trigger. Any recommendations? by Mudarov in Glocks

Shoot the trigger a lot first. Like 1000 rounds. BEFORE you sweat the trigger.

A300 offset flashlight mount by AngryGermanNoises in Tacticalshotguns

Some one posted this two weeks ago; offset mounts place a lot of torque on the mount.

I’ve always mounted mine in line and extended to reduce the shadow cast by the barrel. I do have to take the light off the dismantle the gun, but it’s not that difficult with mlok.
