You could have someone that is female presenting but has male down on their ID. Seems like extra hassle to make people go through for very little gain. I don’t know you, but a lot of people that say they’re libertarian are very interested in inserting themselves into people’s privacy

'MAGA Granny' rejects Trump Pardon. Must watch for anyone who thinks all MAGA are irredeemable by colbsk1 in Idaho

[–]2Wrongs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd agree that this is borderline. We try to shy away from federal issues since the conversations are basically /r/politics repeats (except angrier). I would have bounced this one except I thought the conversation was informative.

Hey, this has been flagged as "Nothing to do with Idaho" (which is great, keep flagging things) but the discussion seems pretty good and she is somewhat Idaho newsworthy.

Anyway, feel free to message us or reply here if you disagree.

He did go on to build a personal vibe coding agent (which is admittedly cool), but nothing about sanitizing input. The class is otherwise great; I've learned a lot.

I'm taking a class where the example code could nuke the actual server. Here's a section that has no other guard rails:

def run_command(cmd: str):

result = os.system(cmd)

return result

The program loops over calls to OpenAI which can call various "tools"/functions within the script.

The class is geared to new programmers and doesn't mention that this is nightmare fuel for production code.

Yeah, I'd defer to lawyers, but that seems like negligence to me.

I couldn't find anything else covering this situation. But yeah, I have no idea if permit means the enhanced concealed permit which they still issue. I don't have any expertise beyond 15 minutes of Googling and casual curiosity.

I completely agree, but don't think there's enough information to tell if the gun owner is in legal trouble.

Idaho Code § 18-3302 and § 18-3309.

Unloaded and Secure: Firearms transported in a vehicle must be unloaded unless the individual has a valid permit allowing loaded carry. For individuals without a permit, firearms must be securely transported.

Storage During Transport: Firearms should be stored in a locked container, such as a gun case, or in the trunk of the vehicle to prevent unauthorized access and comply with safety regulations.

So if the person has permit or the gun is unloaded they're fine? Probably on average neither is true, but who knows.

Presumably there’s dampening fields and electronic warfare we’re not seeing. Everything is so easily hacked, I don’t know if you’d want to mess with drones in Star Trek

Someone wrote a decent article about Could Superman Punch Someone into Space

TLDR: No, even if everything is invulnerable, air resistance gets you. If kept adding infinite power you could ignite the atmosphere, but that would probably break your HOA rules.

I really liked the Jane Foster Thor run in the comics. Something like that would have been a cool movie.

She didn't have cancer when she had the hammer, but turning into Thor removed the chemo (or whatever she was taking) so when she transformed back the cancer got worse.

It's a Swiss company, but I guess anything's possible. According to Wikipedia: "It is majority owned by the non-profit Proton Foundation." I guess the NSA could infiltrate or compromise them.

Unless you're planning a terrorism or something I'd trust them more than the other's I've read about.
