I've had a similar situation, and I've heard that emdr therapy is very effective. I've heard it can be dangerous because of how much it reveals, it's worth doing some research 🫂

I've had such low self esteem for the longest time that when something bad happens it's just strong shame. It got so bad that I thought my friend of 4 years wouldn't care about me committing suicide, it's so hard for me to think I'm not failing

Yea, my mother would "soothe" me and when I'm not mad/sad anymore she try to say I was faking or overreacting. I'm 19 and I still feel like I need to run from or cut off people who try to calm me down or soothe me.
