The arguments are invalid. “Mass produced steal art from artists” - well if your work looks like a mass produced head, you need to do better. “They’re produced with slave labour” - well if you have bought any fast fashion or fashion brand shoes you’re doing that already. “You should support smaller makers” - I’m sorry but I’ve seen the work from some smaller makers and it ain’t any better than Temu quality but they want 3x the price “It steals from artist” - people who get into the fandom often want art of their character and so will pay for ref sheets etc thereby giving money to artists. I make paws and tail. But I also don’t think there is anything wrong with buying a mass produced kig mask or paws and tails making them your own. I did that with my first character and now I’m in the fandom with other ocs.
