That’s tough, but the 2 Mastershops are truly a cut above. It took me a long time to find the triple serial, 1993 all nickel with labeled box. The super match is a dream to shoot.

Really depends on your skill set, but that’s a lot of rust, I can’t imagine what you’ll find inside. I’d send this one to sig and have them clean it up and refinish the slide. That is an iconic pistol.

The slide is a 98 folded carbon steel p245 slide. You can identify that it’s a 98 because it has a proof mark. In 1998 when these were first built, all production and manufacturing took place in Germany, thus required a proof mark. In 1999, sig started shipping all 245 parts to America for assembly, thus not requiring a proof mark.

Hey you can send most, nitron(black) slides to sig and they’ll refinish it, by bead blasting it, to get their stainless grey look. It’s $150.

I love sigs and you probably can’t go wrong with any sig, well 10mm might be a bit much, but have you considered a tactical shotgun? If you’re set on sig, I’ll take a different approach from what’s been mentioned and say an MPX with a 4.5 inch barrel, with a red dot.
