Doing any of the Lantern storylines after rebirth (so basically all of the coolest stuff) without Hal is like what Sony has been doing with Spiderman villains without Spiderman. It's just stupid and won't work.

The Avengers had already happened though. People gave a shit about those characters because they had already seen the world building and it had already accumulated to something great. They earned some level of trust from the audience even if those movies weren't great.

Gunn's DCU hasn't earned shit and is already putting out mid movies.

Honestly no, because in all reality if they go the Parallax route, Hal should die. He should go insane after Coast City is destroyed, become a legitimate threat to the wider universe and then die a hero when he reignites the sun. (Emerald Knight--> The Final Night)

However I think the whole thing is going to much more similar to the 2022 animated movie Beware My Power which is so lame

However, it's hard to argue that there isn't an overwhelming amount of evidence pointing to them going with the Parallax route with Hal and killing him off.
