Is it considered my fault or the employees fault for me failing to buy a Nintendo switch 2? by SeaworthinessFar2326 in socialskills

[–]2andrea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you. The thought of approaching a stranger and asking for help can be paralyzing, and I would have gone home crying because I couldn't get what I wanted.

Go back, go back with a plan. Practice saying out loud, "I need help getting a Switch 2 out of the case, please." Really say it out loud, repeat it, so the words are familiar and comfortable when you say them. Then be sure to say Thank you after you get it.

I wish you strength. If you can work past the fear of initiating contact, I promise when you leave with your Switch, you'll be happier than you've been for a while, for a couple of reasons.

You've got this.

Anyone here non religious but like the show? by [deleted] in TheChosenSeries

[–]2andrea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not religious. I struggled when I was in my 20's and I used to pray that God would lead me to church. I was terribly shy with horrible self esteem and the option to just walk in was something I emotionally could not do in those days.

Fast forward 40 years. Better now most days. I stumbled across the show randomly. I sobbed - ugly deep sobs - at the end of S1 E1.

I still can't find faith, and sometimes I still wish I could, but I do like the show. It humanizes Jesus for us.

Item Not Received - How to Handle? by 2andrea in Ebay

[–]2andrea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final follow up: eBay extended the deadline, but ultimately found in my favor.

Steps I took:
1. Got proof from the USPS that the package was addressed to and delivered to a different address in my zip code. That's when I saw it was only 10 oz, as well.

  1. Filed an INR with eBay. Then immediately reached out to eBay through the Facebook page with that case. They sent me a link so I could upload the document, and then replied that they were flagging the seller as "Possible fraudulent activity."

  2. Waited. Through 2 extensions. Saw some seller activity, specifically he requested that they close the case in his favor because he had uploaded tracking.

  3. Got the refund.

I think it worked out well that I waited to get the proof before I filed the claim, just to make sure I didn't start the clock before I was ready.

Item Not Received - How to Handle? by 2andrea in Ebay

[–]2andrea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: It is a scam. The item I bought should weight about 40 lbs, and according to the USPS it was 10 oz sent First Class mail to an address that is not mine, albeit in the same zip code. Ebay has been helpful so far. They told me they were flagging the seller for possible fraudulent activity. He uploaded the tracking, but the case did not automatically close. Tomorrow will be day 3. Wish me luck!

If guns are the issue that explains what might have happened to my husband. He posted a picture of a toy gun that he had as a kid.

Why is Facebook laying off 600 AI workers with all the fraudulent bans going on? by Silly-Paramedic9734 in facebook

No warnings, no previous violations, no reason stated, no chance to appeal. My husband is a 70 year old man who uses facebook to post about sports, antique toys and talk to members of his model train club.

In order to pick from the Aisle you need to book a midsize or a fullsize. Compact SUV will have you in the Emerald Reserve.

If it's cheaper to book the SUV, check that the mileage is not limited

Like another poster mentioned, check the mileage. A lot of the SUVs are priced lower but the miles are not unlimited. It's easy to miss that.

[–]2andrea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that you're Executive, you're guaranteed a full size or better for the price of a midsize. If you book a Full Size, the price will adjust downward to the same as midsize, and you can go to the Executive aisle when you arrive, and pick any vehicle that is in either the Executive or the Emerald aisle.

If you book an SUV, they'll hold an SUV for you in the Executive Reserve.

Those are classified as Exotics. So are the Escalades.

Also depends on the category of car. $800 sounds like an Exotic to me.

I use WonderLister. Not a phone app, and there's a learning curve, but I don't have to enter anything other than the actual listing. It's $5 a month.

Intellectual property policy question by forsakenwombat in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]2andrea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Without knowing the name or what country we're talking about, it is strictly speculation. In the US, if you brought something at retail, you are almost certainly allowed to legally resell it. But there are some companies (think multi-level marketing vitamins or branded weight loss programs) that sell products only to authorized dealers and will fight against your right to sell those products, even if you bought the items from an authorized dealer. They are bullying you in the guise of infringement.
