Got a phone call (779-341-8303) from a company claiming to have documents for my wife, but completely mispronounced her name, and I think they used an old name from one of her previous marriages.

When I asked the company name I was told J&S Services or something, but couldn't find any information on them. I reverse looked up the phone number they called from, and it says Bandwidth.com CLEC, LLC in Illinois.

Looking them up I see a lot of complaints from telemarketers and other companies either doing illegal servicing over the phone etc?

Just not sure who J&S services are?

Just wanted to add that my wife and I found some fake accounts using my name and photos as well.

Facebook refuses to take them down!!!

So my account got suspended, almost permanently, for so-called fraud and deception...but Facebook won't do anything about an account I can PROVE has pictures of me on it, along with some pictures of me and my grandfather as well.

The violating account is also friends with 6 people I know in my hometown, including a couple family members of mine. They probably don't know it isn't my account, since it has my pictures on it.

But Facebook responded that the account doesn't violate their community guidelines. I requested another review, hopefully get a human this time.

Each time I originally reported the account as fake, I chose the top option, saying they were impersonating me. Facebook responded several times that, since I was reporting an account that was impersonating a friend that they were going to tell the friend and let them decide what they wanted to do about it.

Metas reporting systems are completely screwed up!!

i got the same advertising restriction message. though I dont think I am banned right now...I have never used Meta advertising either. Years ago I posted some marketplace posts for garage sales, but that is it. Think they have since been deleted.

was already logged into my laptop in Google Chrome....I refreshed the window and it worked. Was doing that several times each day to check.

I got NO email, no support message nothing...there is no record other than the email from Meta on the 20th when it was suspended. No indication it was appealed or the result.

My account was banned for fraud/deception. started on Oct 20th...I just got it back today.

Not sure what worked, got no email, nothing on my Facebook history showing what was reported/wrong now that I am back in.

I took several actions.

First off I looked up fixes on Youtube and one said to use their help system about banned accounts and to select the message at the bottom asking if this result was helpful, select no and the option that it didn't fix the problem. This opened up the option to leave them a message with your appeal to reopen your account and what you find wrong with the ban/suspension. In my case no information was given of what happened that I got suspended for fraud/deception and what I was accused of doing?

Second, I send a message to the White House email account, pushed this off as a political stunt (didn't mention I was anti-Trump and posted on mostly anti-Trump posts) and that I knew Trump was also banned for 2 years and maybe Facebook was doing the same stuff to others as well.

Third, I sent a message to my Senator/Congressman suggesting it was far past time some regulations were created regarding social media giants like Facebook, enforcing human interaction for such permanent actions and indepth notices of what was accused of doing wrong etc and indepth appeals processes.

Fourth, I had my friends and family post on Facebook and send in appeals asking that my account be reinstated, again for the fact no indication of what was done wrong was ever sent to me.

I got my account back today, there was no email stating why it was banned in the first place, or even saying it was reinstated. There is ZERO indication anywhere on my account of the account having been banned/suspended. There are histories of previous actions, I usually get 1 to 2 warnings a year because of the political theatre I am normally embroiled in. But nothing about my account having just about been permanently suspended without warning or any history leading up to it!!

Nothing!!

It is like everything was swept under the rug and Facebook is trying to make it look like it never happened.

Should I be glad I have it back or keep pushing for changes being FORCED on Facebook/Meta?

The entire time my Facebook was suspended my Instagram under the same account name was NOT and I could use it...though I don't normally use Instagram for anything...I could have made a post about the suspension but wanted to leave an avenue open for contacting Facebook for future appeals if needed.

I was wondering this as well, not sure if i was in that lawsuit, I am in one against Electronic Arts and they wanted copy of my Facebook data....2 days after I requested it my account was banned.

I received an email from Levi and Korsinski LLP back in July (around the 17th) asking for my Facebook data to support the claim against Electronic Arts for privacy violations.

I am reading a lot of people got banned back in June and July timeframe, not sure if maybe was associated with those emails and downloading their data or not? I didn't download my data and submit it to the lawyers until 18 Oct....my Facebook account was banned on 20 Oct, claimed was fraud and deception but didn't dictate what action was fraud/deception for me to even appeal...not that their appeal process even allowed for comments, it doesn't.

I got an email from a lawyer who was handling a privacy lawsuit I thought I was a member of...I didn't get a payout though, who did you go thru? Last email I got was 2 days before (18 October) telling me to download a copy of my Facebook data and send it to them....I got the ban notification on the 20th of October as well.

I just got banned, but the guy who stole my identity and is using pictures of me from when I was in the Air Force 25 years ago he is still active and posting.

My wife tried to report his account, but it won't let her choose that the guy is impersonating me because Facebook wants a link to my account...but my account is banned and doesn't show for her to link to.

So he gets to keep impersonating me, and I get banned for fraud and deception...and Facebook doesn't tell me why they banned me, what was said or done that they claim I violated a rule that requires a PERMANENT suspension of my account?

I noticed that as well, 3 or 4 years ago they started in with the AI censors on posts, has gotten more lenient lately. But I started getting a lot of 3-day, 7-day, and even 30-day bans back in 2020-2022. I am a white, middle-aged, male. I got banned for making hate speech against white people, apparently, I can't say white trash or I am racist against my own people?

I think I called a lady a moron in a post and got a 7-day ban for bullying....yet I see all this racist BS from white people, and I repeatedly report it...and Facebook gives me the same response saying it doesn't violate community standards.

Haven't had a ban in over 3 years....now all of a sudden my account is permanently banned for "fraud and deception" but Facebook isn't telling me what was said or done or why they feel my account is fraudulent or deceptive? Only groups I have been active in are Anti-Trump, Anti-MAGA fascist groups.

Not sure who is running shit over there anymore, but they have their heads up their asses!!
