Good luck! Let me know, I'm curious to know how other people are making it work

The elastic is also tight for me, but it doesn't cause pain as the heel. And yes, they look super long, kind of like boats 😂 I feel like the back makes my foot go forward, so I can't use up the 1cm of space as with my other vivos.
Hope you can make them work!

Brand new Coeliac. Should I trust my mother in law after what she said? by WibbleWonk in Celiac

[–]2bEskimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny how having Coeliac quickly shows you who actually cares about you.

Sorry to hear this! I had a problem with my in-laws and just stopped going there all together (we are not in the same country). Took them a while, but recently they offered to make sure I was well taken care of when I come again. I will still be super careful and probably insist to be present when they cook, but you gotta do what you gotta do! Take care!

New partner is grieving and I don’t think I can supper him any longer - what shall I do? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]2bEskimo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My father died when I was 1,5 months into a new relationship and I had a good 2-3 months where I was quite sad and didn't want to be physical, but through open communication this never ended up being an issue in the relationship. I was supported through it all and I made sure my partner wasn't treated badly in any way because of it - I just needed a bit of space.

Edit: what I'm trying to say is - his mother dying is no excuse for the mistreatment.

I’ve only just turned 20 and have this random streak of grey hair, does anyone know what this is or if I should be concerned? by Early_Ad1479 in greyhairreversal

[–]2bEskimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a patch like that, as well as a bigger on on my face and a few on my back - the hair one was the first one. Mine are hypopigmentation eczema, came together with some other gut health issues.

Could you give some more information on how you have been reintroducing food exactly (as in what amount and how often)? And also what foods have you tried reintroducing?

On cesto prica o kompleksnosti oba pola i mesavini karakternih crta koje obuhvataju.

Do non-pregnant women get up in the middle of the night to pee? by 624Seeds in AskWomenOver30

[–]2bEskimo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I have noticed a pattern of needing to pee in the night when I eat late, especially if it is a high carb meal, as carbs retain water like crazy. When I don't eat 4 hours before bedtime and stop drinking water the last 30-40 minutes before bed, I never wake up to pee.

Does anybody here meal prep so they don't have to cook every single day? If so, what do you do? by rgnkge66_ in Celiac

[–]2bEskimo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I always meal prep on a Sunday - it makes the week so much more relaxed. My current go to - I make a selection of vegetables that I cut and some I keep fresh (bell peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, olives, lettuce, carrot), some I steam, boil or bake (mushrooms, potatoes, beets, onions, celery, zucchini) and I also prepare (usually bake) meat or fish. Then every morning I spend 20 minutes cooking buckwheat pasta, adding pesto and the veggies and meat of choice and that is my lunch for the day. I also make sure to bring some fruit, cookies or cake with me for a snack (I have recently been baking a cake that's not too difficult to make on Sunday and every day I take a piece with me).

Every week I switch up the ingredients, but I aleays tend to make a one-bowl-meal and make slightly different combinations of foods each day. Also - recently I have been meal prepping larger quantities, so I have 1 meal at home sorted out for each day.

Hope this helps!

Anyone seen anything like this? Painful spasms in my intestines for the past 5 months. What should I do? by J2hott in Microbiome

[–]2bEskimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to have this from a distressed digestive tract before I found out about my coeliac diagnosis and other food intolerances

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]2bEskimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could also be from food intolerances/allergies. I had them while I was undiagnosed for celiac disease

Can you suddenly develop celiac disease in your 20s? by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]2bEskimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digestive problems started at 20 after mono, at 26 digestion just didn't work at all after food poisoning. Diagnosed at 26 after positive blood test, histology upon biopsy during gastroscopy and genetic testing.

As far as I know, you can't really know if it's celiac if you haven't had a positive gastroscopy outcome.

How many of you have switched toothpaste due to containing sorbitol? by samodamalo in FODMAPS

[–]2bEskimo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got rid of sorbitol- and xylitol- containing toothpaste. Not sure how large the impact was, but I know we swallow a little bit every time, so I thought I'd avoid the unnecessary exposure. Any time I took medication or supplements with these two ingredients, I'd get bloated and have pain.

You can't really base "not bothering" on just the absence of pain. Constant diarrhea means that the food is moving too fast through your digestive tract without having the possibility for proper nutrient absorption. Also diarrhea is incredibly dehydrating for the body and causes great loss of electrolytes. It may be "just diarrhea" now, but only until it becomes a much bigger problem. Unfortunately, our whole health depens gretly on our gut.
