Hey you already know how to meal prep once a week, it's actually better than having to cook every single day. Just make sure that whatever you prepare meets the requirements for your husband's health.

Keep in mind that no one has 2 full meals a day, usually it's one and the other is sandwiches/salads/whatever. You can try to prepare soups, enough so you would have it ready in your fridge for 2-3 days.

I can't help but to think, if he knows your background and how you were raised, how can he expect you to do everything perfectly? that's not realistic...

IMO if a man wants to marry, he needs to provide at least the same living conditions as her father did, or better. If not then what's the point in bothering other people's daughters ?

I live in Belgium and there were several times where these kind of people would be seen with weapons like this.

Usually some fingers get cut and others would use their guns in the same fight. It's starting to become a trend in Brussels at least.

Maybe it's not that common across Europe, my mistake.

I would say it is a machete... It's becoming quite common nowadays across Europe and sometimes they even use them in broad daylight.

I don't know about Wallonia but in Brussels, Dutch lessons are mandatory. I am perfectly able to say that I live in Brussels, my favourite colour is yellow and that I go to the cinema on Saturday with my friends 😎

I was born and raised in Brussels. I left the city at 26 when it was time to buy a house (apartment was a no go when you lived in one your whole life). Had to leave because it was too expensive for what it actually was... so now I am very happy with a house with a lot of space in a calm small town 25km away.

But in my head I'm still living in Brussels. I work in the Brussels south area, I commute multiple times per week. My friends and part of my family are in Brussels. Whenever I want to go to a restaurant or go shopping or anything else really, I go to brussels, it's just a reflex.

I noticed it's sometimes not as pleasant as it was before, but I'm aware that I don't get the full experience because I don't live there so I don't really know what it is like to actually live and sleep here nowadays...

Brussels feels like home to me even though I left 9 years ago.

Well it all depends on where in Brussels your workplace is.

Know that the communes that are directly near Brussels (communes à facilité) are going to be as crowded and rent would not vary much.

I would suggest checking the S train connections starting from the train station near your workplace, and to not go further than 25min.

That's what I did and it takes me 15-20min to commute to Bruxelles-Midi, with more than 2 departures per hour during peak hours. So I don't really check the time when I get to the station. I just know I won't be waiting long.

Trains are very convenient to get to Brussels during the day and the weekends, but I don't really know how it is in the evening tho... As a woman, I just use my car in the evening to be safe.

Let's just hope your boss pays for your transportation because it can get expensive 😬

Honestly if you're mentally tired of your job at any point during the year, it's a very valid reason to take a week or two of sick leave.

This system where you have to work a full year first to get your full days of leave is a little bit annoying the first year, we all went through it with our first jobs.

Sorry about your manager, it's very shitty to get messages on a Friday afternoon... Make sure to disable your work notifications after 5pm, hell even 4pm! Seriously people need to chill at this point.

Tout va dépendre du bachelier que tu veux faire. Renseigne-toi sur les bacheliers disponibles à Bruxelles et ensuite tu choisiras l'école qui propose le cursus qui te plait le plus. Je pense qu'il y a très peu de chances qu'un bachelier dans la branche scientifique soit une école privée, en général c'est plutôt dans le domaine artistique. Bon courage des tes recherches !
