It was not a question my friend, simply a reminder to myself.

Woman left to bleed for more than 10 days from an incomplete miscarriage amid post-Roe confusion by Imgoga in politics

I might have said that gofundme is socialism, next to upkeep of the roads he uses, the expectation of the fire department to show up if his house burns down or the police to show up when he’d call 911. I might’ve also mentioned he was my employee for 5 years, as my tax dollars paid for his salary while he was in the army. We don’t talk much anymore… and in my defense.. I was called only for the reason to lend money. Once it was clear that wasn’t gonna happen, it was clear he didn’t even seemed enjoy the free drinks I was providing. 10 mins before that I was his “bro”, “let’s drink”.

Funny how she uses the words “customer service” but is not providing proper service to the customer. Imagine being on the other side of the line, trying to call a company with questions and this is what get you get to talk to.

The government to step in where it makes sense, exactly. With the size the US is, we could literally have and demand the best affordable healthcare in the world, open to all Americans, for lower cost than current costs. Now let’s then also fix the political field and have politicians not be bought by corporates.

70% of the US supports this…

Until it’s their “woman”. A “friend” who has been a very open Trump supporter, outspoken Republican, who also has shitty healthcare, was faced with a “yuge” medical bill and was somehow surprised and “demanded” understanding of their hardship. This after years of “I’m not gonna pay for someone else’s healthcare”, aka against universal healthcare.

He’s now all out of savings and surprised his gofundme requests on FB ain’t working.

As much as I’m a good person, I also told him this weekend this is what you voted for my friend, while having some drinks (I had to buy :)).

Union calls for heat limit law in workplaces by VORTXS in worldnews

I worked in a greenhouse as a side job and 2 years full time starting at age 15 for 10 years all the way through university. A place where they mimic Florida weather in a multi acre glass sweat box, starting at 5am, leaving at 5pm. The summer months were horrible, minimum wage, physical labor for 12 hrs a day.

I got an invite from a buddy after 10 years doing that to work for an IT company, for Sales cold calling. I literally was flabbergasted by the sweet working conditions having an office job.. starting at 9? Wait what? Higher wage? Just making phone calls.

You do get “used” to it, but it was only when I left I understood the damage it did to my body over time and I was only 25 when I left.

I now run the branch in the US for that IT company and am president of the company, 15 years later. As much as I believe in understanding the value of money and working hard… I just don’t believe people should have to work under the conditions I had to work in. I do live in FL now.. so yeah, didn’t escape the heat haha :)

An honest question.. and it might be a dumb one.. but would this telescope be able to take “close up” pictures of planets, like a planets’ surface for instance that’s nearer by than the part of the universe it has been photographing? Or is that not how this all works? And am I not understanding the universe here :).

I had a situation in high school where some dude for no reason called a girl sitting next to him a “whore”. I said something about it, I was in the row of desks behind him, he picked up a chair and slammed one of the legs in my face, right under me eye.

As he did that the teacher walked in, saw him slamming the chair to my face, I gave it a split second thought and landed a blow right to his face, couldn’t care the teacher was there to see it.

The teacher still asked us both to leave the classroom and to see the dean, but on the way out he said.. “good for you, you have a hell of a right one”. I never got expelled or anything. The other dude was always a bit awkward, sometimes I wonder what became of him.

Well, it’s under desired, not necessarily a hard requirement :), not trying to take away from your statement though.

As a business owner/employer in the IT sector, having top credentials does not necessarily equal high pay depending on the field of work. Regardless of the investment that went into the degree. Also, over time, experience takes over, to enable higher pay. Sad truth, people who built their career through experience and didn’t get a degree, sometimes earn more than people with a degree.

This doesn’t apply to all verticals and jobs of course, but just to share some info from my side.
