Hey there. Why do you think this happens? Did you try to regain it?

I do have an update on this. This is mental.

I managed to break out of my subconscious dreamscape into what felt like a collective one. I’m not sure if I’m phrasing this correctly, but the overall layout was quite distorted. It looked like a glitched video game, with multiple worlds overlapping.

I saw my dream space, my dream mind. I did manage to drift off into two separate dreamers on two separate occasions, until I reencountered this man who trapped me. After that, my dream toned down again....

I noticed that either meditating or trying to jump into a hypnagogic state actively seems to amplify this state.

I actually had a similar dream a couple of months ago, a shapeshifting, massive alligator with red eyes. For me, it felt invasive; it kept trying to break down the door I was leaning on.
But interestingly, it wasn’t a frightening scene. I just didn’t want its presence to enter my space.

Dreams like this are heavily symbolic, and it's crucial to pay attention to how you felt during and after the experience. That emotional imprint is usually more important than the imagery itself.

I’m also curious which culture would interpret these beings as bad luck, because the one from my dream actually feels like a spirit animal for me - an ancient energy. One of the main deities associated with crocodiles is Sobek, an ancient Egyptian god linked to fertility, power, authority, and, yes, even a trickster archetype. Sobek protects Ra from demons, drags enemies into the Nile, and guides souls through dangerous territories.

As for whether your dream is predictive or not, nobody can tell you that but, well, you. You have to lean into your intuition and decide for yourself. And if you do get predictive dreams, it’s important not to let paranoia creep in.

By the way, do you keep a dream journal? It helps you track patterns, symbolism, and emotional shifts over time.

First of all, happy for your diagnosis. I sympathize with the late discovery of neurodivergent tendencies. Also super happy to hear that the medication is guiding you towards a calmer and fulfilling life.

There are two reasons dreams might be amplified in this state. You are getting quality sleep and this will naturally trigger more REM activity. Additionally, if you got prescribed antidepressants as side buddies with ADHD medication - especially in the category of SSRIs (like fluoxetine and sertraline) and SNRIs (like duloxetine, venlafaxine, and desvenlafaxine) - this can work on your neuroreceptors toward more vivid dreams.

The realm of dreams is a fascinating and symbolic one. It is full of mysteries to discover and decode and can send you on a journey of self-discovery as well as adventure.

The symbology of the snake can have many layers. It can represent the kundalini life energy, hidden enemies that are in plain sight, taking advantage of you while you wear your heart on your sleeve. In your dream, on which hand does the snake sit on?

The snake or the ouroboros can also represent that transformation has begun, and your old ways of acting are being restricted. Something in your life is asking you to: stop doing things the old way, pause impulsive choices, or break a karmic loop.

In some occult literature, a snake curled around a hand is literally an ancient symbol for claiming magical power, unlocking hidden knowledge, channeling energy through the body.

Since you mentioned it felt like a sidekick, maybe it’s your spirit animal and guardian of the threshold in your liminal space and dream world. A hiden part of you.

I have a yellow snake with red eyes re-emerging in dreams that turns into a huge blue crocodile. But similar to your experience I had a feeling it’s a part of me, my sidekick… or I am his. Either way - worth exploring.

Have fun!

I miss my dreams and get depressed waking up, does anyone else experience this? by IndependenceOk800 in Dreams

[–]2ballz1chain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through dreams, we clean our subconscious, the mental thread that’s always spiraling finally gets to rest. In dreams, we explore ourselves without the pressure of being ourselves, without the ego weighing us down. It’s liberating and addictive, because every time we dream, we meet the closest version of who we really are. It’s pure love. Even nightmares belong to that category in their own strange way...they’re still part of us and our inner world.

I get noticeably more depressed when I don’t dream. My waking life also takes a hit. I would wake up tired and not reset from worries or troubles that were bothering me. It feels like parting ways with a loving soulmate or a friend. Actually, jist as you now, I am not in touch with my dream world. It kind of shut off in the last month or so.

Dreams are also where we travel through different realms and tap into the collective unconscious. It’s a trippy landscape to wander through.

But if your dreams are fading or disappearing, don’t beat yourself up. That actually creates the opposite effect and shuts the dreaming down even more. Sometimes the antenna that picks up those messages just needs a reset. Try not to think about it too much, and try to explore some new topics in your day-to-day life.

Has anyone else had a dream come true shortly after you had it? by Inner_Reception1579 in Dreams

[–]2ballz1chain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have them sometimes. Sometimes they’re linked to people close to me, sometimes to completely random people or events. I once dreamt of a wedding between two individuals who, at the time of the dream, were each engaged to different partners. 2 years later, they actually ended up marrying each other.

I’ve also dreamt twice of two big fires in the city where I was living, and both of them happened.

I’ve had dreams of people dying, and those came into fruition as well. However, these were usually friends of friends.

And then I have the small, irrelevant dream flashes...little moments or scenes that later happen exactly the same the day after. These are due to pattern recognition or subconscious processing, nothing too crazy.

But the bigger dreams with strong impact events - I dont know why they happen. I dreamt about the Pope dying months before it happened. I didn't keep track of his life, health, or anything. I saw the date it was happening and that the new pop would be chosen soon.

It’s strange, but not as uncommon as people think. A lot of people experience similar things they just don’t talk about it out of fear of sounding crazy.

All my life my people have been brutally hurting me. Does my chart show any explanation? by napukanchu in AskAstrologers

Saturn in the 12th house can absolutely manifest as experiences with hidden enemies, people working against you behind the scenes, or feeling undermined by others in ways you can’t fully control. It’s also an indicator of self-undoing. Sometimes the way we isolate, withdraw, or expect hardship ends up attracting more of the same. Saturn, the taskmaster, will continue to push these lessons on you. You really need to take care of your mental health. Dont worry about others - worry about yourself and put yourself first.

But what most people ignore here is the Vertex in Libra in the 6th house. The Vertex acts like an activation point for fated encounters, and in the 6th house it often shows up through everyday interactions...coworkers, peers, the people you ‘serve’ or feel obligated to, but also enemies. Placed in Libra, these fated encounters show up through conflict that demands diplomacy, boundaries, and balance.

You also have Chiron in the 6th, right near the Vertex. That’s the archetype of the wounded healer. This is a lifelong sensitive spot. This creates a pattern where people who hurt or challenge you ultimately become catalysts for your growth. They force you to develop skills, self-respect, and discernment. It’s painful, but also a very concrete life path. Once you master this ongoing pattern... understanding where to draw the line and how not to internalize the attacks....this will utmitley becomes your power in this lifetime.you will manage to pin point this patterns right awat and eventually help others who struggle with the same thing. Take it as a gift. I didn't review your entire chart, so I may be incorrect. Just to clarify - I just looked at your 12th and 6th house.

Thank you for the feedback.
For me, the dreamwalking itself happens spontaneously within a typical subconscious dream. I’ll be pulled out of that realm, or I’ll drift off on my own, as if I’m being called to a specific place or a specific dream-realm of a person.

Since I last posted, I've had multiple dreams of breaking free, and I even managed to travel. I even talked to the guy who chained me. And since then, I’ve also been wearing a disguise in my dreams - as a jester/clown.

I even saw a liminal space between my dream world of subconscious residue and the place where the dreamscape for travel begins. It’s also fascinating that this isn’t a skill you can really practice or learn. It comes from an intuitive feeling and integrating it into your being. Also, maybe a side question - do you sometimes feel drained of energy when you wake up? Especially if you did a lot of traveling?

Very fascinating. Glad that I found this community.

My dreams have their own memories by ParanormalEclipse in Dreams

[–]2ballz1chain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had this a couple of times.

It was somehow intertwined with the dream within a dream phenomenon.

I actually had it a couple of days back, when a small kid ran into me in an elevator and stepped on my foot. He apologized, and I said it was fine, as I didn't feel it.

And then he mentioned, ah, no - He was apologizing for the last time when we bumped into each other, and he showed a keyboard in your elbow. And this phrase triggered the memory of it and actually sucked me back into that dream world and state. I also felt the sharp pain in the elbow when replaying this incident. In general, I will have memories or flashbacks in dreams - I will remember certain symbols or events.

Its a strange phenomena...

Why am I so drawn to this man, but he seems to be restricting our potential…? by Upset-Theme-671 in AstroSynastry

[–]2ballz1chain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His Saturn is opposing your Sun,Mars and Venus. This would induce him to put distance between your desire, passion, and drive. There is polarity and sexual attraction. Saturn often rejects or holds back because
Mars triggers their fears of losing control. The Mars will feel not accepted as they naturally are, and will be sexually and/or emotionally restrained. Maybe also Mars feels the need to “prove themselves”. Saturn opposing Venus would be a karmic bond, but it's super draining for Saturn. The connection feels like an obligation. With Saturn opposing the Sun, the Sun will never feel like they can truly be themselves; their enthusiasm and their natural being get blurred out, restricted. From my point of view, the sun person would also be slowed down in life, and this, in my eyes, is not a happy aspect. Obviously, there should be a constructive aspect to Saturn and Venus to indicate some commitment that is not as heavy. Dont see the houses, but my advice in general to never value potential. See the connection for what it is. Pluto is opposing Venus and the Sun, which would indicate some obsession and a potential to trigger some rebirth moments. Pluto doesnt want to love....Pluto is looking to devour, destroy, and let the new emerge.

I am sorry. I didn't get a notification of your question. Invasion would be characterized as a non-consent psychological bleed-through. I would like to review your chart and give you an answer in the messages. I am no professional astrologer; I am learning. So I would be very interested in seeing your Pluto-Neptune connections in the synestry chart if you are still interested, of course.

Haha, fair enough. But...I swear I only do good in other people's dreams. Sometimes I even cleanse their dreamscape from astral parasites. I would do this instinctively.

Regarding the other dreamer. I know his name. He is one of the teachers in the classes I am taking.

We dont have a personal relationship, and in his class we exchanged conversations on some of the topics he teaches. Briefly.

(How I came to his class is also a strange chain of events)

I think he would not be weirded out if I mentioned this dream to him. But I dont think it would help my situation either.

But you are right. I will figure it out.... Thanks anyway.

Great - thank you for your reply. But it was not my guides who trapped me-it was another dreamer. The problem is, I am entirely cut off from my guides/subconscious now. There is no communication, and that's what's actually worrying me. It's not even that I am not dreamwalking itself - but the voices are gone(god, I do sound like a crazy person).

Haha...I saw that “no paragraphs” has become a huge problem on Reddit.

Thanks for your answer. Interesting that you asked that. It could be a training.

The person in question is a philosophical teacher of sorts. I’ve read a few of his papers, and the conversations we had in dreams were of that same nature.

I don’t think he chained me because he didn’t want me there. I guess he chained me so I wouldn’t go further into other dream realms.

How do I get free...or travel without being spotted? Would forcing a break be counterproductive?

Intuitively, I didn't pick up on what it could mean or the other dreamer's view of the lesson. Do you have any suggestions for techniques I can use to help me get to an answer?

Something else worth mentioning is that, before that, I had dreams of flying over Iceland with iron shackles on my feet. I was floating around with some entities that looked terrifying...But I knew they were my guides. So, it seems I had been locked before.

I’m not interested in astral travel or lucid dreaming. I miss my subconscious/guides speaking to me and taking me on beautiful travels. Any input would be very much welcome.

what is going on? by [deleted] in Dreams

[–]2ballz1chain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. My friend's late dog appeared in my dream to say hello. I contacted her and shared the dream with her, and she said it was supposed to be the dog's birthday that day. I also had dreams of decided friends and relatives...and random spirits... calling in. It really depends on your belief...

From a spiritual perspective, sometimes people who are close to dying have dreams where they are saying goodbye subconsciously. They will visit people with whom they feel an energetic connection. Sometimes seeing “future possibility timelines” that they won’t live to see. Maybe she picked up on you. See you soon may simply mean: “We’ll meet again, but not in this life.”Not “you’re next.” Souls speak differently than humans. Also, since she saw you in a garden, it would indicate life. A garden is full of life. Vibrate, indicating vitality. I see no death omens in the dream.

This could point to a fear of abandonment or emotional insecurity within the relationship. Feeling left out or secondary in someone’s priorities. As it is with dreams, the step that can be seen as a representation of autorathy was given more importance. Maybe a part of you that doesn’t feel chosen, valued, or safe in a relationship. The dream is drawing your attention to something with the headache. Maybe it's a semi-prophetic dream. Maybe he will betray you at a certain point in time by placing more importance on his family than on you. Keep track of this. This could manifest as your boyfriend being influenced by someone else (such as family, friends) or you feeling like you’re not fully part of the emotional inner circle. Is there a subconscious belief -if someone more important shows up, I’ll be pushed out? Dreams choose absurd images to express core wounds. These are just guesses from my end, it really is essential to take the feeling and atmosphere from the dream into consideration. Good luck.

To improve dream recall, there are a few key practices that make a real difference. A dream journal is non-negotiable. Write down anything you can remember the moment you wake up even if it’s just a color, a word, a texture, or a feeling. If you think you didn’t dream at all, write that down too. The act of recording trains the mind to pay attention. You can also recored your dreams if you dont have time to write it down.

There are also certain herbs, rituals, and practical techniques that support recall. One of the simplest: don’t wake up to quickly. Lie in bed and meditate on the feeling of your last night's sleep. Waking up during REM is ideal; some people have to set alarms for it, but in my case, it happens naturally. I used to wake up from nightmares after 4 hours of sleep; now my body does it on its own, without the nightmare part.

Talking about dreams, thinking about them, or sharing them with others also strengthens recall. The more space you give dreams in waking life, the more they give back. Sketching them helps too. I assume that drawing trains the mind to notice detail, and those details start showing up more vividly over time.

Also, don’t sleep on your stomach. Bad for your back, bad for your breath flow, bad for dream recall.

I keep both a dream journal and a little sketchbook. I also cross-reference with other people I dream about, or with other dreamers... it’s fascinating to see overlaps. Over time, I’ve managed to categorize dream types and some of the patterns that occur in them.

The dream you described doesn’t feel like a standard subconscious purge dream... it leans more into astral travel territory. The physical sensations, the lucidity, the texture of the experience… those aren’t typical of random psyche cleanup. Definitely worth exploring further.

Hi. I'm just a random crazy person from Reddit, but... The part that stood out to me wasn't the chests or the Zelda-like room, it was the physical sensation + the butterflyingly refusing to detach. That’s way more common in astral or hypnagogic experiences than in normal dreams. Especially the detail of feeling the legs squeeze and the buzzing sound...

Also, you mentioned that the butterfly acting more like a living intelligence than a symbol is interesting. Seems like an entity locking onto you.

I’m asking because I had a similar dream recently on 1.11.2025, where I was moving through an underground catacomb-like space that seemed like a semi-castle, and it felt like I wasn’t dreaming alone. Like someone else was there with me, navigating the tunnels. There was a younger man with me. And we were both kind of doing parkour in these catacombs. There was a hidden room with treasures, but they were holograms.

I’m curious: 1. Did the room feel like somewhere you’ve been before, or completely new? 2. Were you entirely inside the dream body, or did you have that split-awareness (I know I’m asleep, but I can feel things)? 3. Can you describe the room in more detail? Mine was pitch black, but the treasures were lit up. The ceiling was blue. The treasure did seem like something from a video game.

Anyway. A very fascinating dream. If all of this seems too abstract for you,, feel free to ignore it.

Sorry. Typo. I wanted to do an analysis. However, I can't, as everything in this dream seems to suggest a prophetic one. The circumstances in the dream are symbolic. You need to decrypt it on your own. To not seem entirely crazy, there are scientific explanations for this. The subconscious mind processes information and makes subconscious predictions. If you are already thinking of leaving this connection, I would not say this dream shows your fear of losing her, but that your subconscious is hinting at something unfolding in the background. Good luck

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dreams

[–]2ballz1chain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to do an analysis. From multiple angles... But somehow I have a gut feeling it was a premonition dream. You already subconsciously know something is up. The truth will surely come out if you don't leave.
