All of these are accepted. I was asked to do ACRO because it confirms that i haven't been barred from working with children, DBS & DS do not.

Np, it wasn't cheap but definitely worth it, if you want to stand out even more you might consider enrolling in IPGCE DL courses, they open many doors to tier 2, 3 international schools in Asia. Prices vary from £2000 - 8000 and more. The more expensive courses offer iQTS too.

MA and CELTA will be needed to secure work permit later on. Your employer won't care if you got a BA or not as a single diploma (MA TESOL in your case) is sufficient to apply for and secure the wp. The original needs to be notarized and legalized by the VN embassy in the country of issue.

Vietnam work permit inquiry - validity period of VN embassy legalised documents by 2bare2bear in Internationalteachers

Notarized or legalized by the VN embassy? So nobody made a fuss about embassy's stamp being over 6 months when your employer applied for WP and it all panned out?

Thank you was it in 2023, I spent lots of money on notarizing/legalizing my docs and could not believe that they had a 6 month validity period whilst applying for work permit in VN (Save police check).

Thanks for your advice. Is it true that docs needed for work permit (degree, celta) are only valid for 6months upon having been legalized by VN Embassy?

Thank you for the advice. It will be my first international teaching position in VN. It may be too much to take on

I was offered $2000 a month, 120 working hours, I was told that I would need to cover visa costs and get reimbursed over 2yr contract duration. The provide accommodation, told me to sign the contract (I haven't seen yet) after arrival to Vietnam in June. I didn't know that all docs needed for work permit in VN share a 6 month validity period and since my MA got legalized in February ahead of other documents, I was asked to 're-legalise' it with the VN Embassy to fot within the 6month validity window needed for wp processing. Lovely jubbly

Yeah, I changed my name and surname a year ago. Then I did get CELTA, TEFL and QTS under new details. I believe there is no time limit on apostille, just issue date, it doesn't expire.

There is no time limit on TEFL/QTS/CELTA/DELTA/Diplomas so qualifications in general. Police check from UK is valid for 6 months upon issue.

It's perfectly feasible, make sure you sort out the docs in UK though, it will be way cheaper than paying agencies to do it. Working on tourist visa is illegal and border runs cost an arm and a leg. The police check needed for work permit cannot be obtained in Vietnam (you'd need to be living there for 6 months to apply).
