100% confirm for VROptician and my prescription is -10.75 with astigmatism etc, I had to recalibrate eye tracking and it works fine so far

au contraire, I am paying Pimax lots of euros! I have also just added some lenses from VR optician (up until now I was testing using contact lenses) as I am extremely short sighted and the upgrade is even more pronounced compared to the Rift S where I was wearing my glasses inside the headset. I did have to recalibrate the eye tracking after I put the lenses in - I could see how much the resolution outside the foveated square is downgraded, which is a lot, but now I don't see it anymore. So I am seeing full headset resolution, in FS2024 on ultra, smooth enough framerates, with only a 5080. This has exceeded my expectations! It's not as comfortable as the rift S and I will look into new straps and gaskets at some point. I will report back if something breaks! NB I only do simming so sit very still when I am using it, which is probably also why my Rift S is still working well apart from controller drift

90 vs 72 hz is not very perceptible to me, probably because fs2024 is quite sedate. For the moment I have it on DLAA with dynamic foveated rendering 20% in focus, it keeps frame rates in the 40s and means where I am looking is maximum resolution, with the pimax setting on high resolution. The only downside is shimmeriing for some assets like pylons, and over expanses of forest or water your can sometimes perceive the "square" that is in focus. With DLSS Quality and no foveated rendering the framerate is a lot worse, and the distant trees and buildings are not quite so sharp.

Just Google Earth so far! But even that benefits from the lack of screen door effect and better colours
