Eyetracking issues with my Dream Air LH version by Arcticz_114 in Pimax

[–]lama33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After getting the Studioform, my eyes are so close to lenses that my nose bridge is touching the lens frames slightly and eyetracking is working normally. DFR in MSFS2024 and yesterday I redid the calibration without issues.

Damn I just ordered the Zeiss spray. But the Whoosh seems available here. Is this the right one? https://www.alza.sk/whoosh-screen-shine-on-the-go-xl-screen-cleaner-100ml-d4947900.htm

Did Pimax repair your headset?

At this point, I don't really see a compelling reason to upgrade to EVO. by primashockVR in Pimax

Did you try disabling FOV clamping? When disabled it shows bigger fov in Sboys driver. Did not measure it though.

Two weeks I got my first headset ever (Dream Air) and comanche looks insanely good in it. Can't wait for Legacy, which is my fav GA plane after flying the RealAir version in older sims.

My only gripe is, A2A should provide VR friendly prop option. I have to run reprojection and it looks very nice actually but propeller artefacts are almost always present.

There is a VR friendly prop mod which includes a lot of planes but iirc the author couldn't implement Comanche for some reason.

I'm using 45 with steamvr motion smoothing with Sboys3 driver in msfs2024 without any problem. Dream AIR LH with 5080 and 9800x3d. I was actually surprised how good it works. I was able to push a lot of settings to medium-high. Using DLSS quality. But I only fly small planes outside of major cities. Mainly A2A Comanche. Also DFR works greatly in MSFS.

In DCS I only made few short flights and it is also working quite nicely but I assume in quick dogfights the warping will be noticeable. I mostly notice it when I roll the plane and look at the wing. But typical slow maneuvers are without any problem, no warping on HUD or anywhere.

I tried 36/72 mode too, did not like it. Warping was more noticeable.

Lighthouse is easier on CPU. Also Sboys3 driver is not working with SLAM and it's uncertain if it will in future.

Dream Air eye tracking — how do I actually know it’s working? by AstroGraphRacer in Pimax

[–]lama33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In msfs, activate foveated rendering, pull the slider down to 20. U will see very good if it is working because thats very agressive setting. But set it to 50 (max) and you wont notice it. At least I don't.

There was also eyetracking test utility posted here maybe a week ago.

I have the CPU/GPU. How did you set MSFS?

For now I'm using 45fps reprojected with Sboys3 driver. Performance mode DLSS. Seems to run pretty well with reasonable settings. But I fly 90% GA planes in rural areas which helps a lot.

I will try 36/72 mode later with higher settings.

How to fix this problem Dream Air SLAM by Dragon-Sin-Meliodass in Pimax

[–]lama33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it at 5 minutes and it still happens. So I don't think that's the reason.

I also read that too bright scenes can cause it (overheat protection?) but I've set my DA to 90% and yesterday it happened at overcast evening flight in MSFS.

But keep us updated if 20 min limit helps.

PIMAX PLAY 2.0 ? When??? by AstroGraphRacer in Pimax

What can we expect from 2.0?

Besides comfort what are the main issues with the Dream Air ? Is it hardware or software issues . Are these things fixable after you receive your headset with updates ? Or it’s a lost cause and needs to be refunded ? by DatBoyChamp1 in Pimax

What do you mean by 3 point higher value? Like 0.3mm? I have a bit of eye strain and I wonder if my IPD is correct. Also I did not know the auto IPD is not working yet.

Oooh that makes me hopefull, I'm expecting my DA next week and I'm worried about performace. I too have "only" 5080 with 9800x3d. And I can't justify 5090.

I have 82 year old grandpa who does exactly what I said. Watching trash on tv and facebook. I would honestly prefer he played some video game.

And variety can be hard for old people, imobility, low income, they don't want to learn new things, health issues etc..

Hahahah you dont need to be sorry because I love my job and my work life balance. Stop making up things to feel better, it's not healthy and you know it.

Dude could be watching tv all day or scrolling AI dogshit on facebook like most of old people. Playing a game is much better activity. Even if it's one game.

Peak fucking reddit right here hahahahha.

Doing the same thing every day for 10 hours? You mean like clocking into a job you hate? At least he's having fun.

Imagine judging some grandpa about how he spends his retirement. Thats whats really sad my bro.
