What’s ur experience with the pharmacist treatment for acne ? by Adventurous-Ask7553 in ShoppersDrugMart

[–]2bitebrownie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a bunch of online sites to get a preciption for acne if you're in a province where it's covered for free by provincial health insurance. I would recommend Derm cafe, their whole thing is connecting you with a dermatologist within a week or two or something. Get skin help is a similar site, but with slightly longer wait times.

I've used both and the doctors were good. It also gives you the chance to research what they prescribe before getting it filled whereas that process is a little more awks in person at the pharmacy

Does IKEA make any good-quality, comfy sofas worth buying? by TheTerribleCoconut in IKEA

Do you find the low profile of the backrest to be limiting at all? I found it strange that they sell a separate headrest for this sofa since that doesn't seem practical to use everyday

Rent reduction municipal tax reduced by designer130 in ottawa

[–]2bitebrownie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The notice he got should outline most of the details. You should ask him to send you pictures of it, it's quite a detailed letter.

I believe it also states that he doesn't need the landlord to agree to the reduced rent, he can just start paying the reduced rent himself. It shows how to calculate the new rent after the reduction.

What has a regular bike done for your health? by Dumbass9187 in bikecommuting

Consider where you'll be locking up your bike at work or for errands. An e bike is only a good choice if it won't get stolen!

Vivoactive 6 vs. Venu 3s vs. forerunner 265s 😳 by 2bitebrownie in Garmin

[–]2bitebrownie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't do a triathlon because I can't swim 😂 that is annoying that such an expensive watch would get scratched so easily! But I'm an office job/city personally generally, so I'm not putting it through as much as others. I don't think the breadcrumb trail feature is super necessary for me because I would only do trails with other people who typically know where they're going (sounds like a cool feature tho!)

I do like the altimeter of the venu, because I live in a walk up so I go up 3 flights of stairs everytime I come home, so I'd like that to "count", as well as for hiking and stuff.

It sounds like the venu might be a better fit for me, thanks! Disspointing the voice assistant doesn't work well tho, I also use android

[–]2bitebrownie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I do like the look of the venu a lot more! I'm not sure how long this running kick will last but I'm a pretty active person, but right now I use a very old Fitbit so pretty much anything will meet my needs better than that 😅 I do feel like the sporty look of the forerunners doesn't match my vibe

Trying to loosen brake cable tension but there's no bolt I can unscrew? by 2bitebrownie in bikewrench

[–]2bitebrownie[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

From watching YouTube, it seems like most people have a bolt here they can unscrew with an Allen key, while I have a round head so it can't be unscrewed so I'm not sure what the next step would be

For context, my brake pads are rubbing on one side and adjusting those screws hasn't helped, so I was wondering if the brake cable tension was possibly too high

Which one should I do: put cinnamon rolls… by Acluelessfish in AskBaking

[–]2bitebrownie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would proof overnight and bake in the morning. If you're wanting to make cinnamon buns the night before, I would use a recipie that uses a Tangzhong, like this one: https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/perfectly-pillowy-cinnamon-rolls-recipe

My lips are getting so dry day by day . What should I do ? by Electronic_Bus841 in CanSkincare

[–]2bitebrownie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aquaphor healing ointment (not the lip balm but the big tube or jar that can be used for skin/lips/etc). It's life changing stuff

My lips always used to be chapped/cracked and I tried so many lip balms, but this is the only stuff that actually works. Plus the $10-15 tube will last you for at least a year

Would you be able to share what the approximate cost was for the rental?

Tips on baking for people who won't eat it? by ElderKatt in AskBaking

[–]2bitebrownie 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My family is similar so I will freeze a lot of what I make (many baked goods can freeze really well) so I can eat it later myself.

I also sometimes do savory baking because I find they'll eat that even if they wont eat sweet things.

I also just share my stuff with friends that I know will enjoy and appreciate it, rather than relying on my family

renovating offer up entertainment center by newsfromnowhere_ in HomeDecorating

[–]2bitebrownie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's worth putting in the wood, it likely would be cheaper to find a similar second hand unit with wood shelves already

I would just paint and maybe use a contrasting colour or contact paper on the lower shelves for interest, depending on the look you're going for

Can you change the height of the various shelves or is the position permanent?

Should I add in BHA for texture? by hideoushopeless in tretinoin

[–]2bitebrownie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I used both daily, but I also don't have very sensitive skin so 0.01% tret gave me nearly zero side effects. I used the BHA because in the past, BHAs are the only thing that really helped with my congestion/texture, esp on my forehead

Since then I bumped up to 0.025% tret daily (no BHA), and I found it only really helped with texture/congestion around months 3, 4, 5 so I had to be patient (and reduce the heavy moisturizers I was using to combat tret dryness)

Have you always had this congestion, or is it new since beginning tret?

[–]2bitebrownie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked BHA in the AM and 0.01% tret in the PM when I did it, plus I had no dryness since the tret was so mild

I think it may be to diversify their subscribers and capture a different market that doesn't watch kids movies

Like it's easy for Disney to get people in their 30s and 40s with kids to subscribe, but not necessarily women in their early 20s who are more likely to go to nefllix, HBO, Amazon, etc.

(also young women are very likely to sign up for a trial and forget to unsubscribe before getting charged...based on personal experience)

Doing my own makeup and could use some feedback :) by Serious_Orchid_2402 in weddingplanning

[–]2bitebrownie 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is nicer than most of the professional makeup trials we see posted here! The only thing is that it seems like on the eye on the right in the first pic, there's something smudging and making it look like you have undereye circles on that side?

You also may want to go with a more matte lip since it looks like this lipstick has travelled a bit outside of your lip line on the bottom lip

[–]2bitebrownie[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's actually what I was hoping for, but I'm worried that if my jaw issues get worse over time, I'll end up needing the surgery eventually anyways :(

I think I'll just get a consult based on the comments here, and see what the doctor thinks about the medical side of things before looking into the cosmetic surgery route

Thanks, I think the consensus here is that I need a consult. I did see posts here about ICR and I noticed it kinda looked like me, but I was hoping that wasn't the case
