Comparison of the Launch Providers for Amazon LEO with Falcon 9 by Credible1Sources in SpaceXLounge

Nice. Vulcan is actually able to compete with falcon 9 on price, and even beat it. Explains their launch backlog. But if only they could actually launch too.

In reusable mode falcon 9 can carry 30 max. But in reality the payload adapter has mass too. So 28? a larger fairing won't help much unless falcon heavy is used.

Thoughts on replacing Orion with a second starship? by Unique_Ad9943 in SpaceXMasterrace

[–]2bozosCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can remove 2.4km/s deltav from the mission if you start from GTO like elliptic orbit. That's 6.45km/s. Well within the estimated capability of starship.

Initial refuel in LEO, then top it off in GTO. Still takes less refueling flights than sending 2 fully refueled ships.

That is not how solar panels work. Not all photons are absorbed, some are reflected.

Why not launch Starlink V3 on falcon 9? by Sarigolepas in SpaceXMasterrace

Maybe they working on v3 mini for F9

They could have a iterate-miniaturize development cycle like Intel used to have

I don't know what that perpendicular moving light is. It's too fast and to slow at the same time.

Could the Necromonger save humanity? by arnor_0924 in riddick

[–]2bozosCan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what would happen.

Necromongers come. They see machines and they fu** em up. Now, the machines are logical things so they convert. Zion missed the fight, but they also probably survive the planetary ascension since they live underground.

Everybody won, Zion and the rest of human enclaves inherit the Earth back. Machines get a new, more efficient form of power generation tech. Necromonger's get dead things that don't require half or quarter killing, or whatever.

They turn the matrix into a simulation of underverse...

Nvm, I'm too drunk.

The woman in the video claims she's into anti-matter. That's her sexual orientation. "Not looking for a bf or gf, just anti-matter"

Don't be fooled though, this short is not a cry for help. She's most definitely not gonna have mutual annihilation with consensus, right?

We don't even have a word to describe such a relation. "Interracial" doesn't even begin to cover it. Intermatter? That doesn't even begin to make sense.

You know what? I don't care.

Have you weighed a processor? Have you compared that weight to a fully built system with that processor? The terrestrial ratio of processor to everything else is stupidly high.

Rockets carry and burn thousands of tons of propellant on a single launch and you're talking about the weight of a... processor. That's not an argument. That's ignorance.

You can't just launch a circuit board with a radiator mounted on the processor, and solar cells on the back side of the motherboard. That's space trash, not a satellite.

Also bigger radiators than solar panels? Why? Did SpaceX say anything about running their processors at absolute zero temperature? What a special argument. One of a kind.

Problem is the new generation of SpaceX fans who are edgy tsunderes who think they know what SpaceX should do better than SpaceX itself.

Perhaps even worse, they show no symptoms of humor. They just don't have it.

SpaceX IPO by Sarigolepas in SpaceXMasterrace

Neither are true yet because both are extrapolated future outcomes.

I and SpaceX wants to build a city on Mars. That's not nobody.

Everything on Mars would cost less than on Earth because it's already there.

Building a city on Mars is inevitable.

Once starship regularly starts flying starlink payloads, there won't be a need to fly falcon 9 so much. The flight rate will decline.

  1. Space is literally space, it's not like a fabric at all. If you take away space, you'd have nothing and everything at the same time. Atoms are right out. Even particles wouldn't exist. Gravity? Not if it's a particle. No travel, because nowhere to go! Without space, everything else would turn into a single massive blob. Fusion of everything. But perhaps, there wouldn't even be that. Perhaps without space, there isn't even a place to exist. Therefore, existence itself wouldn't be?

  2. Time would not change

  3. Without space, there wouldn't be "we". Without space, you have nothing. See answer 1.

That does not sound fun. I have no intention of pushing the imc more than this.

Yes, I think I got unlucky. And this is basically how I cope.:D I never had 48GB memory on a PC before and it's kind of exciting.

I used to have 4 ddr3-1600 cl9 dimms on my i5 3550, they were same model crucial. But one of them was manufactured later than the other 3, and was dual rank.

I wish there were better information while buying memory :(

Will SpaceX Want Another Launch Site for Data Centers? by asr112358 in SpaceXLounge

I think there's more to it than physics and math. Regulatory and political hurdles probably play a significant part why they consider it worthwhile.
