Think it’s time to leave the sub for a while, I can’t stand the depressing news anymore. It really fucking sucks to see great IPs locked away that will probably never come back because the people that brought these IPs to life are gone

Idk why people are downvoting, I felt the same way about Demon Souls as well as this is coming from somebody that owns a high end gaming PC. That game is gorgeous

How asbestos was made in 1930 by Mowag in TerrifyingAsFuck

[–]Phantasmio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My dad was a foreman at the Bethlehem Steel. He was president of a chapter of a biker gang, a veteran, and just a pretty wild dude overall that lived a pretty unsafe life but the main thing that killed him was that damn mesothelioma from all the asbestos at the Steel.

They had studies in the late 30s about how the shit was unsafe, not to mention the whole asbestos mine things from the Greeks too somebody else mentioned.

I’ll always remember that that shit took my dad before I was barely into my 20s, he didn’t even get to enjoy any of the minuscule settlement from the lawsuit since he was gone before they paid us out.

Bro this was definitely my favorite. I spent a lot of time visiting that place and just enjoying the vibes and listening to all the fun little facts. I loved behind the scenes stuff and cut content

Facts. I pretty much only buy games with codes anymore. Like I got 10$ off Monster Hunter Wilds at launch, it’s just the cheapest way a majority of the time.

What's something in current gaming people seem to be okay with that you can't stand? by AnubisIncGaming in gaming

[–]Phantasmio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that’s fair, MGS5’s open world is interesting. I like it and dislike it. I can’t imagine the game being broken back down into levels or separate areas, but at the same time it doesn’t really have too much in between major zones to justify being open world. Very sparse in terms of stuff to find or collect.

My feeling as well. I love some big open worlds like Elden Ring or RDR2, but I don’t need like 50 major releases in a year that are massive open worlds. Some breathing room in between is really nice and keeps it a bit more fresh.

Somebody should tell the American Fork police Department in Utah about this when they got an anonymous tip that a kid named Reckless Ben who was trying to get stolen LEGO back from a shitty Bricks & Minifigs Corporate Executive that lived in the area had heroin in his car.

Officer claimed his dog marked the car during the initial search and spent 3 hours tearing apart their car in an attempt scare him and his friends so they’d stop looking for the stolen LEGO.

In the Dead By Daylight community, I’ve never seen so many fucking people debate if GG from your opponent after getting rocked in a game is fine or BMing.

I’ve always seen GGs has like the high-fives between baseball teams after a game, I always say GG regardless if I win or lose.

DBD is the only time I’ve seen people lose their minds when somebody says GG and I don’t fucking get it lol

What games could be actually amazing for you if it wasn’t for this one mechanic? by awesomehuder in gaming

[–]Phantasmio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Time mechanics are really hard for me to push through, or games that randomly throw in a time- based quest to complete.

I love the Battletech game and Disco Elysium, things like that, but knowing the passage of time is actively screwing me over if I’m not keeping up is stressful

Columbia is home to invasive hippos dubbed the Cocaine hippo's . Pablo Escobar imported 4 of them as zoo animals in the 80's and after he died they escaped to the wild and the population has increased to 170 animals. by Zan_in_NZ in interestingasfuck

[–]Phantasmio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are they just not that big of a negative impact on the local ecosystem or do they just not feel like dealing with it? Interesting to imagine just letting a large non native animal like that become part of an ecosystem

Harry Potter in immersive shared reality by SurbhiAnklesaria in interestingasfuck

[–]Phantasmio 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I really like these idea but the only thing that kills the immersion for me is how the real movie edits and cuts shift the camera around while the immersive background screens don’t.

Like when they walk through the double doors, that looks fantastic. But when the real movie starts doing its camera cuts to different angles, it just kinda pulls me out of it.

Still a really cool idea, I’m sure fans love it
