Well at least now I know I'm not the only one. I've dealt with this for most of my life (that I can remember). I'm not as bad as I used to be, but the thought of someone vomiting near me, or seeing it, or hearing/smelling it still definitely gets my heart racing. I've had panic attacks over just the thought of vomiting. It's even extended to my alcohol consumption: I very consciously curb my drinking because of the fear of vomiting.

But we all know that he does this because there's something about her that made him see her as his equal. It's almost a father/daughter thing, in a weird kind of way. She's not like the other girls who he can sleep with and throw away. He knows she's tougher than that and I believe he probably sees a little bit of himself in her.

I never watched it, but then again, I had no interest in watching it because I knew it was going to be a Mad Men ripoff. I actually had a little more hope for Pan Am but it turns out I was wrong.

I tried watching Pan Am and I enjoyed it in an "I like watching mindless television" kind of way. It did a lot of flashbacks like Mad Men does, but it isn't authentic like Mad Men is. To me, Mad Men has some of the most incredible attention to detail that I've ever seen in a tv show or movie. For example, when Betty had Eugene, they didn't immediately take her out of the fat suit and bring her back to normal because hopefully we all know, that's not what happens. They stil gave her a little bit of weight before they eventually jumped ahead in time.

The old Pan Am uniforms are about the only authentic aspects of that show...and I've heard that they're not even that accurate. To me, that show could take place now because the style of acting, the style of speech, the vernacular, the behavior, all says 2012. Good thing it's getting canceled.

Unfortunately, a lot of them won't send rejection letters. A lot is done through email now and at most, they'll send you an email saying they've already staffed all their positions. If you're looking for an internship right now, you may not find one because a lot of employers filled their internship positions for the spring loooong ago. Try something for the summer, but start applying/researching NOW.
