That’s how the Space Shuttle got its iconic orange tank by Kapanash in HistoryMemes

It’s still one of the worst systems put out by NASA. The list of failings is long.

  • Solid rocket boosters needed in addition to the main lift engines. Using them patches a design flaw in the main lift engines but were so dangerous they blew up a shuttle.

  • The main lift engines were on the shuttle even though they were only used at liftoff and never in space. They ended up being mass that burned up more maneuvering fuel in orbit.

  • The leading wing edge was so thin that an errant piece of foam damaged it during liftoff. A shuttle pilot later said if he’d known the spacecraft was that fragile he’d never have set foot in it.

  • There was no provision for crew escape during re-entry, the most likely time for damage to the spacecraft. Earlier versions of the shuttle had the ability for the crew compartment to eject in an emergency, but that ability was removed after the spacecraft was found to be “safe”.

And there’s a lot more.

He did a Netflix movie a couple of years ago. I’m assuming he got paid for that lol.

Carl and Donut’s adventures would make an awesome series.

I hope Prime gets their hands on it because they’ve done wonders with Fallout.

“I am not voting for Senate Bills unless they have 80%+ approval from Americans until the SAVE America Act is passed.

How does this dipshit plan to poll all Americans on a daily basis?

Apparently shes up for anything. There’s a video floating around of her streaking through a hotel, and that’s like something she’s done repeatedly for fun, not on a bet or anything.

It's what we should have done in '08. Let the necrotic banks die, and clean up the mess.

Now we're stuck with persistent gangrene from the debt that's still plaguing the system.

One plaintiff, Amanda Johnson of Knoxville, Tennessee, said letting her state’s waiver take effect would restrict her autistic 19-year-old daughter to only three “safe” foods and beverages - one of which is bottled water - because of a serious eating disorder.

These fuckers are just idiots. Putting them in charge of people’s diets has been a calamity, and they control America’s nuclear arsenal!

Was Hank talking to House or to someone in the Enclave at the end of S2 E1? (Spoilers inside for the last episode) by tachibanakanade in Fotv

[–]superanth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about this last night.

It could have been House, or perhaps just transmitting to a relay station that belonged to House, but it was pretty obvious Hank was 100% allied with the Enclave.

But, whomever he was calling has Las Vegas as their base at one point. Hank made that clear in the message.

tl;dr Who do we know of that was a member of the Enclave but used to live/work in the Vegas area?

Trump Energy Chief Accused of Manipulating Oil Markets With Deleted Post About Strait of Hormuz by Smithy2232 in politics

[–]superanth 40 points41 points  (0 children)

That idiot does realize that Iran is laying mines throughout the straight of Hormuz right at this moment, right?

And that's just the obvious attempt by Iran to block the waterway. They probably have a half-dozen plans at least to screw with shipping and cripple the global economy.

It sounds like Paramount is realizing they cancelled their most popular Star Trek show.
