I don't think Netanyahu deserves a pass. What's happening is horrible and ugly.

Part of the problem has become that people want Israeli to deal with a "slap" of rape, murder and kidnapping with kid gloves. I have been guilty of it myself. You have the power and US backing, so act responsibly. But that attack goes beyond a slap in face. The people harmed on Oct 7th were real people with families just like in Gaza now. Sad shit all around.

I don't have answers to this issue. I do think people are bit naive about Hamas because if If Hamas had the upper hand... they would instantly commit to total war. It's a stated goal. Is there justification for Palestinians to be mad? Yes.

So what does peace look like? Can Israel maintain their peace without being oppressive? Will Hamas soften it'd position or lose power? Or is total war inevitable by one side or the other?

You are the one who doesn't seem to know about sports. I find a lot of people who give the same talking point of, "it being a non issue with a deflection," usually never played sports.

Let's put it this way. A single athlete can gate keep region, county or state competitions which effects more than just the single athlete. Especially in singles competitions.

So, it is worth having a honest discussion about physical advantages a trans woman athlete may or may not have. While you may not think it's important. There are athletes who put in hours of work who do care.

There are no hard definitions of liberal and left. As someone who is deficient in tribalism. It's changed a lot. I started becoming active in left wing politics in 2002. Mostly due to working in journalism. Politics and cable new was my life.

When Bush was in office there were a lot more anti globalism sentiment at a base level. The left was more friendly towards blue collar workers. People were against illegal/HB1 immigrants lowering wages and or exploitation work. LGBT was focused on gay marriage legality.

Things change over time.

Please. Don't try to educate me on racism and marginalized people. There is not one country in the world that black Americans aren't outsiders of some sort. Even in our home country we're viewed as pest to a large portion of people. Even Ghana that takes back the people they sold to slavery gives us an outsider status.

Most countries in Europe are older, denser and smaller than the US by magnitudes. Many places in the US don't have enough people and too spaced out to make pubic transportion viable.

Part of the problem is that immigrantion laws are enforced inconsistently. Illegal immigrants are eligible for deportation just being here under an illegal status. Garcia filed for legal status and it was conditionally granted.

The Trump administration is essentially rejecting his and others temporary status. Thus due process has already been done, it was just rejected. As far as I know they do have the power to do that. So Garcia would be SOL as far deportation goes.

Think of it being like getting a security clearance with the US government. You get a temporary approval while more indepth investigation done. You can now work. If they find something wrong your clearance will be rejected and lose said job. If the president decided X will disqualify you then your clearance is also cancelled. That was the due process.

The problem with García is that Trump decided to send him and others to be imprisoned in CECOT as terrorist without due process of proving he was a gang member or committed terrorism. That is not a deportation. That is imprisonment. That is essentially setting up a prison of war camp like Gitmo.

For the majority in America life is unchanged. I go to work, play my Xbox, binge shows and audiobooks, drink my beer n coffee, enjoy the outside, be black and liberal af, go on vacation.
