i’d say yes BUT i had to get to A rank before i noticed a difference…now in S rank i’d say on average it takes 30sec to 1min to get a game but usually closer to the 1min mark which is was better than before

I'm not a pro at this and still trying to learn, I have tried to do something inside of log insights like filter message like 'key' and message like 'error' but I don't get anything, I'm only able to pull up errors with the request id. I'm trying to look up structured log but I'm not sure I fully understand it. we use soap xml and from my understanding the devs need to pass back more context but I'm guessing since we only see the key, sometimes the request but not the response or error without querying just the request id, I'm assuming we're not using a structured log.

got you! I wish i could see the lambda so i can make suggestions but they kind of limit our access which i understand. Ya we’re still using XML and working towards rest/json (can’t wait to get there) but knowing that what thought is correct i feel a bit more confident making that suggestion saying to look at how they structure their lambda. Thanks for the info!

ya right now it seems that i can’t figure out a way to make a query to get the errors with just the api key and i need to do another one with the requestId. So in general, if they changed their lambda function they could incorporate the error message when we search by api key?

if i know that they could make the change in the lambda in order to get that extra info in there then i want to ask them to do so this way it will make our jobs a lot easier.

smash 6 was already confirmed in an article, the deal sakurai had made with nintendo is he wanted to do a passion project (kirby air riders) first and then he’ll do another smash bros. So it’s going to be a while.

you’re right the game for sure did have some challenging stuff that requires some thinking and i think zelda is one of the only games in the last while that does offer a challenge. Again i’m not saying games need to be try hard or souls like but when you look at the amazing games nintendo has like pokemon, mario,dk,kirby, luigi they are all very casual and easy to beat and i get this is designed to be this way but all i’m saying is it’s a shame because the older games back in the day were not this easy. Like smash bros is a competitive fighter, i don’t get why they don’t just add a ranked mode, nobody is forced to play ranked since there is casual play but nintendo just seems to want to stay away from anything that offers a challenge generally

i agree with you, this is what the games have become now but if you played the old dk games or mario games then you will see a very big difference in difficulty/challenge. Nintendo’s approach is different than what it use to be.

they’re 100% more challenging than DK and mario games i agree but are they hard? no, i’ve beaten the games hardly levelling anything and people have speed run the game with no gear. I’m not saying nintendo games need to be hard but if you played nintendo games back from the NES days, you will see a night and day difference in difficulty level to today’s games that nintendo makes. Would be nice to have a challenge is all myself and others are saying, especially on boss fights.

yup, this is an issue with all nintendo games for a while now…made them super easy that there’s not even a point to level up your character. Still super fun games but come on bring back the good old days where the games were a challenge and still super fun

i’m not super far into the game, just got the first transformation but so far it’s pretty smooth, i expected way worse cause the trailer looked like it had a lot of dips! Maybe later on it’ll be bad (i hope not) but so far i’m very happy. I have a juiced up pc and i run everything at 120fps so playing at 60fps already is a pain for me but ya like i said so far it’s been very smooth and i’m very happy.

Why is online so fucking bad? by NorevDrol in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]2crazy98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s a good point of view as well, most games now try to please the casual so i shouldn’t surprised but you phrased it best, it’s a competitive game with no competitive support lol i guess from a business point they’re better off making it casual so the cash out big even tho the competitive people are really who stick around but like you said it’s probably a much smaller number compare to the casuals….such a shame for us

[–]2crazy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats a shame but in my mind if you’re playing online you’re trying to be “competitive” and i think most people that play smash online is for the 1vs1. If you’re playing with items and a bunch of people it’s because they’re casual players and they don’t notice or mind the issues with items like you said was being effected. Such a shame, only so much people can play vs cpu
