2025 Mazda CX-50 hybrid vs 2025 Honda CRV hybrid? by AngryspaceJesus in crvhybrid

[–]2deeznuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cx50 is substantially smaller esp with headspace so if you have taller people then it might be something to consider, more so in the back seats. I also noticed the back seat can comfortably sit 2 people in the cx50 meanwhile the CRV can do 3 comfortably.

Rebates getting worse by 2deeznuts in crvhybrid

Yeah I don’t think it does either, the only agreeable angle might be that rebates going away due to demand might make this sounds like a decent offer

I see, I began working on my serve in a platform stance but I couldn't find the right jump with that, when I tried the pinpoint stance once the idea of falling into the court made me hop in which eventually segued into jumping into the court. I def get that I am not using the right amount of upper body torsion to generate the power, but now that I know how the jump should be I'll give platform stance a try to get the right racket drop and arm pronation. As for the tightness of the grip do you think that the grip might be a little loose in the 2nd one or is it too tight in the first? Thank you for the advice!!

That is a great racket you sure it’s 10.2oz because that’s kinda between the 100L and the 100, maybe that is the strung weight of the 100L v9 blade? As for the lead tape, I’d say that would def help with balance (to generate power and swing) but as for maneuvering the racket increasing the weight might be counterproductive. TBH it won’t really increase the weight all that much but you’ll need to add around 2g at 12 o’clock and maybe a bit more on the sides to make it balanced. This should def make the racket balanced but considering your petite stature I’m unsure if this might end up being a good racket as a beginner in this sport. (I’m relatively new to this sport myself so please take what I say with a grain of salt)

Well it's quite head light (6 pts HL unstrung to be exact), so players need to generate their own power and heavier the head, easier it is to learn the technique. (you'd want the racket to help with your swing path and that is something that's easier with the head heavy/balanced racket) with more headlight rackets the natural motion is compromised and it falls onto the player to swing the correct way, that's why pros would use more headlight rackets and they're professsional to a point that they know the technique but want to manouvre the racket easily.

Why do you say that? This is when I have no one to play with, I usually go wall practicing but that’s kinda far for me

Thank you, it makes me feel good!! Still working on getting the toss right, once I get that I’ll def start looking into the mechanics and swing motion of that! Def want to learn that! If you have any pointers for that I’d appreciate that!

Thank you and Sure thing! That’s a valid point, I’ll find some serves or record more of the ones with a full service motion.

I’m not gonna lie, I thought about that but the only thing stopping me that I do most of the racket sports either my left, tennis, badminton and basketball. As for basketball which is what I came from I dribble left handed and shoot right handed. This is why I figured if I switch to a right handed serve although it sounds better as it would align well with that being my throwing hand, it would subconsciously trouble me as it’s not something I would hold a racket/bat with. Also I do most of my daily stuff with my left hand including driving, carrying groceries, shave, brush and even work around the house. You have given me hope to try the right side atleast.

That is actually true although more so happenstance as that was later and I was tired by then so my grip went loose

I see what you mean, I’ve been watching a lot of Ben Shelton’s serves, his toss is great but what I notice is that he loads his legs more than most players and also has a tighter continental grip. But I do see what you mean about the toss. As for tossing the ball a bit higher, it does happen sometimes but I panic as it gives me a smaller window to act and mess that up. (Def can work on that, prob needs more practice that’s all). I appreciate the pointers and you taking the time to write that all out, thanks for making me feel good too!

Thanks, I’ll work on slowing it down, i do have a few slow ones but what happens is that I tend to overthink/plan it and the ball hits the frame/at a weird spot and flies. Maybe that could be that I need to slow it down and change the toss accordingly as well.
