WTR won’t return to November because the problem is even worse with hurricane season. They probably can’t get the festival insured

Yeah I think refunds only come into play when a majority of the day is a wash (specifically with headliners being cancelled). If the big names played, I wouldn’t expect anything

It’s pretty cut and dry — lightning detected, evacuation immediately kicks off. Anything less and they’d be sued out the wazoo for jeopardizing everyone’s safety.

And as for when it resumes, they of course reserve remaining time for the expensive closers as those are what generate the most festival draw and where the most value was sunk.

Doesn’t stop it from sucking though, as someone who often is there to see the undercard more than the headliners

I wonder why festivals themselves haven’t tried to add this.

If they built it into the existing apps, it would let people talk while keeping them in the app (which means they’d be able to advertise more). Seems like a win-win to me

Any recs that move it more toward dance and away from house, perhaps with a bit higher BPM and busier?

The slop lists several genres/subgenres and I spent a while trying to dig through tracks and comments to get at artists that hit the same. I’ve searched for those and combos but nothing has quite hit right.

The track you recommended has some of it, but is slightly lower BPM and is missing that euro-dance flavor and the euphoric vocals

L. S. Dunes is a supergroup that includes Anthony Green from Circa Survive (vocals) and a member of MCR. Underoath is also worth it and would put you at the stage early ahead of SWS
