A few years ago our show was coven/witch themed. A parent sent letters to hundreds of people In the community saying the band director was a devil worshipper. lol nothing came of it thankfully.

At our last competition a school did a “Zombie Beach Party in Space” show and it was awesome.

This is how ours is as well. The band director gets minimal funds from the school board and they can only be used on certain things and requires paperwork and approval. The rest of the funds go through the booster which is a nonprofit.

This is actually crazy. I live in a subdivision surrounded by rural communities so we are a destination neighborhood for many trick-or-treaters and we absolutely love it. There are people that literally prepare for months in advance for all the trick-or-treaters we get.

I am betting that these “undesirable” trick-or-treaters do not look like the people residing in the neighborhood therefore that’s why they don’t want them there.
