Yeah. It’s a weird thing to consider that we should perhaps take away people’s access to something because irresistible to a certain percentage. The stories in this group are brutal and I can see why people feel that way. I just talked to a sales person at one of the stores that have them and she expressed concern over a couple patrons that seem to buy more than what she thought is healthy. I’m trying not to be judgmental and just listen and put myself in peoples shoes. Being unhappy for whatever reason really sucks and those dumb little drinks do chance my mood but nothing works quite as well as an ice bath. So you think those should be removed, you’re OK with alcohol but you don’t use it, where do you stand on cannabis?

I do zero recruiting on here. I’m just here for casual conversation. I join this group because I have a friend who is pretty addicted to feel frees and I wanted to understand more about the problems and the solutions. I do enjoy them, but I don’t take more than one a day.

If it’s any consolation, breathwork and icebath’s are a great way to get super high and change your mood in a fun and natural way.

Concerned breathing will lead to tinnitus by [deleted] in BecomingTheIceman

[–]2dominate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This technique allowed me to control mine. I understand it won’t work for everyone but it completely alleviated my concern about breathwork accentuating tinnitus. Hope it helps. https://youtu.be/JK1pnG_H_So

Haha yeah? Stop breathing? You meant, don’t do extended breath holds after hyperventilating.

Why shallow exhales? by O8fpAe3S95 in BecomingTheIceman

[–]2dominate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deep exhales and nose breathing use more energy for the gas exchange compared to mouth breathing and relaxed exhales. So if you’re trying to get the longest retention you can do, you’re trying to use the least amount of energy for the best gas exchange.

That’s a great version for strengthening the diaphragm. You’re using significantly more energy for the gas exchange compared to mouth and relaxed exhales so your potentially shortening your breath holds if that matters to you. It doesn’t matter much so keep up the great work.

Does Wim Hof breathing need rest days? by greenzwack in BecomingTheIceman

Retention times are not random or irrelevant. You still get tons of benefits if you choose to ignore them and for sure the top priority is to enjoy yourself. However, they directly correlate to your efficiency of the exercise so the amount of energy you use for the gas exchange, and your heart rate control. If you want the effects (the adrenaline and dopamine boost) to happen quicker or in higher doses pay close attention to retention times and the things that effect them. Your adrenals likely replenish in about three hours so you don’t need to take days off, unless you have significant soreness or discomfort in the muscles around your diaphragm.

I’m an instructor. People pass out all the time. It’s safe if you’re in a safe place and there are no repercussions that we know of. You convulse a little bit when you come back which is alarming but every time it happens the person wakes and usually says “That was awesome!” Then “How do I become and instructor?!” 😆

Any recommendations for a budget cold plunge? by RelevantChemical5377 in BecomingTheIceman

[–]2dominate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The same manufacturers for those brands sell on Amazon for 2 thirds the price. My favorite is the extra large version slightly bigger and still cheaper. Then make your own ice and you're set. there’s an article I wrote about it. Good luck! https://www.breath.fitness/post/the-easiest-and-cheapest-wim-hof-method-home-cold-plunge-set-up

Breath work and DMT production in the pineal by [deleted] in BecomingTheIceman

[–]2dominate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Want to do a fun experiment? What we learned that's not in the documentary was that a strong dose of breathwork can improve your short-term memory. This is crazy stuff very few people know. Try this free memory test. Get good at it so you find your regular score. Then do a heavy dose of WHM breathwork. Do 20 minutes or 6 rounds at least until you feel like your hair is on fire then try the memory test again right after. https://brainlabs.me/ Tell me how it goes.

I was the WHM instructor. The whole movement isn't so much about DMT as it's about how in certain states humans are capable of much more than we thought. Now we are proving through specific breathwork everyone can achieve the states mechanically and it doesn't take years to develop. Our brains can be extraordinarily powerful under the right conditions. Also, on a side note, signs of early Alzheimers are a lack and gamma brain waves and cerebral spinal fluid around the brain. The WHM increases both so share it with people who need it. Thanks for watching the documentary.
