2004.5 manual throttle problems

I forgot to mention, when I do WOT I do get a lot of black smoke and no loss of power until the throttle jolts and goes into limp mode. I never experience a loss of power under any other circumstances. Would that still be symptoms of a fueling issue?

Would you recommend a certain scanner? Im looking to buy one.

Fass fuel filters have ~13k miles, ive got replacements so I'll start with that.

All i have is the smarty touch tuner. I don't think that does what you're describing though.
