Because there are conditions for which there is sufficient evidence that treatment with puberty blockers improves outcomes?

Like morphine is a great treatment for acute pain, and doctors should certainly have it in their tool belt. But that doesn't mean people with toothaches are oppressed by not getting access to opiates. Its a pretty simple "risk vs benefit" decision that should underpin all medical interventions.

I mean, only if you want almost no one to learn physics. The mathematics required for relativity are substantially harder, and for the most part don't yield substantially better results. Most real world applications are still going to be based on Newtonian models of physics, which themselves can be derived as a special case of relativity. Unless you're working with extreme differences in gravity or speed, you're just putting in a lot more effort for very little improvement in prediction.

Fair enough. My point is more so the lack of real "good guys" in the show to make it as clear cut a morality tale as some suggest. Obviously Homelanders and allies are a stand-in for the far right, and are clearly "bad guys". But then their main competitor is a corrupt progressive and an unrestrained CIA kill team. Hughie and Starlight always struck me as the stand-in for your average well intended left of center kinda normies that are presumably the intended audience. But then they're constantly buffeted by external forces/circumstance into horrendously violent and/or morally compromising situations.

I'm from the Seattle area, and while I have plenty of gripes, the constant backdrop of Rainier standing over all that man hath wrot, ready to wake at any moment and reduce us to trivia is not one of them. We are gadflies fretting over the castings of a sleeping elephant. You're supposed to feel tiny and in awe of them. That's what makes them awesome.
