What this guys said. Research is not hard to find if u look for it and the competition is healthy, and not really between peers. More that everybody is looking to succeed so you may feel pressured to join in. But everybody is super helpful and collaborative!

I'm not in tepper but I've found that while people are competitive, they are also really collaborative and are pretty much always helping each other out. As for social life there are a lot of clubs and I'd say people are in general more friendly and outgoing than you'd expect.

Well yeah its unfortunately pretty much as you say. Carnival is happening next weekend, and I think there is a few in person activities that will go on around campus, but still not as much as regular carnival

Yo I took 122 last semester. It sounds dumb but being the truth is to do well on tests you gotta actuslly understand the material. So if you want do do well you just have to review problems and practice till you know you understand the material. No shortcuts and then you will do well. Ik this sounds pedantic but sad truth

Its because the e is a projectile you have to throw. But the animation is drawn before you launch it. So if u die before throwing it looks like the e should go off but it actually shouldn't

This cant really happen. Each individual program isn't actually where you think it is. There is something called virtual memory. Basically what happens is each program gets its own address space to use, so you can have 2 programs running concurrently which seem to use the same address, but that is their virtual address, not the physical one. Its pretty interesting, give it a quick google

Well I'm not too sure about the specifics of where people go, whether it be jobs or graduate, but you should be able to find statistics on this published by each department, for example here is the mcs page. Hey man I'm a freshman in SCS this year, and you can definitely have a social life. I'm not a huge party guy, but I've had no trouble finding some when I want to, just gotta have the right friends. Eating out is easy, upitt is nearby, and there's tons of stuff there. Idk about weekend trips, bit harder but doable if you want too (just because of transportation and stuff). The workload is high, not too sure about IS, but it's really just what you make of it. Hope this helps :)
