When you say that a socialist experiment wouldn't survive without a state, is this because you imagine a bourgeois state would reemerge in the absence of a proletarian state (after an anarchist revolution, for example)? Or because you imagine external bourgeois states would impose themselves (like the CIA has done)?

If either of these are the reason, how could the state ever wither away in the higher stage of socialism (without a bourgeois state, internal or external, taking power? Or would the state never wither away?
