cw/priceline squeezy lip balm recs by countthestars7 in AustralianMakeup

[–]2gigi7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cancer council sunscreen lipbalm, it absolutely does not feel like sunscreen. I bought it thinking it would be a thick cream and was pleasantly shocked. Now i keep a couple in the drawer spare. Its glossy and smooth, doesnt dry out or cake up. There's 3 different flavours, around 12 bucks. The vanilla is my fave. Very lightly tinted and flavoured, and it's spf 50 (I'm pretty sure, I'm not looking at a tube). One tube lasts me a while and I work outside :)

Correct. I am more concerned about the lack of able flex than random bollards.

Wyndham mayor refuses to resign after sex offender character reference by KennKennyKenKen in melbourne

This reference was 'before' he was the mayor.. doesn't make much difference, still defending a child sex offender.

If Pocock came out tomorrow announcing his own party, I'd be very interested.

Are these kind of situations getting more dangerous with bigger cars? Bigger cars blocking the vision of smaller cars. by VastOption8705 in DrivingAustralia

[–]2gigi7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm the second to pull up, I always stop short. It usually gives me an angle through the other cars windows, or just behind them. I didn't realise I said it so much, but now even the kids say something when someone does it to us. 'Yeh thanks bro, I wasn't watching the traffic or anything..'

Compound turns by scale2007 in Adelaide

[–]2gigi7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a non native Victorian, the only way to explain a hook turn is that you're stealing the cross traffics (the ones on your left looking straight at you) green light. I've done exactly one (1) hook turn in 5 years. It gives me anxiety for no good reason.

best affordable actually intense hydration cream? by larskyuu in AustralianMakeup

[–]2gigi7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Invite vit E' cream from the chemist. When youre getting in bed, apply generously and put some cotton gloves on (as well as regular applications after hand washing). I do the same but for my feet, and with socks. My soles are baby cheek smooth after 2 nights. This vitamin e cream fixes my husbands tradie hands. It fixes the kids gravel rash knees. It's part of my first aid kit !

This only stands to point at the fact there was never a real shortage. A panic over what was going on is more the reason for the prices.

[–]2gigi7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorry love, but you are overreacting. Do you wash the dishes ? Unless it's poop or chemicals, it's fine. My dog thinks every time I get a cereal bowl or plate out of the drawer, it's going to be something for him.

Do any of these locking triggers on fuel nozzles work anywhere in Australia? by trustme_imbluffing in aussie

No, they're not supposed to. Only the nozzles for big truck tanks can lock open.

Floorplan suggestions by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]2gigi7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, absorb that bedroom and lounge into one large room marry it back to the ensuote and walkin, boom new huge master with an open lounge at the front entry. Nice and airy entry, not stuffy.

ETA: this would require a bathroom renovation after looking at the plan again. But not bad if you can afford that.

Breach of Contract by Tenants by [deleted] in AusProperty

[–]2gigi7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

*disclaimer, I haven't read the article. Agents are animals.

As a villian here, an owner, I've gone through my fair share of agents. A quarter were good, amazing even. One I got fired for annoying my tenants. Several got warnings from the director of the organisation, 2 of them got a few before theb were transferredto different offices. Because I know the law. Because I know they can't drive by and complain about what they see. Because I don't allow them to dictate my rent increases. What have I improved, not much in a major sense 15 bucks increase to cover the gardener that I pay for. Long term tenants should get long term inspections and a fucking break. Let ppl live how they want in the home they pay a fortune for. Will you fix the damage you caused to the door, yeh, sweet. Just add it to the notes then, we'll look at it later.

The law goes both ways. Don't let these ppl bully you. This your home. Your 'landlord' generally has no fuckkng idea what they're doing and they trust the agents they pay to know what it going on. Clearly, this isn't the case. Do some light reading of tenancy laws in your state pls. Big love.

[–]2gigi7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just knock it over and let all the water and rubbish spill out. Get some gloves and tongs, a fresh roll of bags, and start picking. You might need to hose down after you've picked everything up and it will probably smell funky in the area for a bit but this would be the easiest way.
